1.6: New surgery - Gene-seed cloning. Using Pure geneseed basement. Implant the Progenoid Gland to the victim. Victim became coma status for 10 in-game years. While in coma, you can harvest one Progenoid Gland once per 5 in-game years.
Cloning will be expanded to chapter-oriented gene-seeds soon. Gene-Seed mutation function will be separately added after Emperor's Children sub faction mod.
By removing this hediff, you can get 1 gene-seed basement of the marines' gene-seed type (e.g. Death Guard gene-seed basement from death guard marine, Primaris basement + Raven Guard basement from Rubicon Raven Guard).
This only works without RimDark 40k (they have better gene based mechanism) and World Eaters's gene doesn't work as it is intended. I'm current trying to fix world eaters issue as well as implementing gene-seed cloning (by implanting it to the victim) mechanism.

@northnewt sounds like placeworker doesn't properly work for CE - let me check it toward this weekend. Updating CE-related patch takes extra time to me ;(
