What is this mod?
This is core library of my Warhammer 40k themed mod sets. This mod itself doesn't give you any function, but it contains most of code that makes each faction's game mechanism works.

To properly use my mod set, you need to subscribe this mod, Weapons mod and at least one of the Faction Core mod with at least one of their sub faction mod. Weapons mod gives you 40k themed weapons with researches and few workbenches (only for Genestealer and Necron. Imperium faction uses vanilla workbench or workbenches from other WH mods if they are enabled.), Faction core mod contains each faction's dedicated abilities and configurations, Sub faction mod gives you apparels, special mechanism, NPC factions and starting scenario.

Also, if you want to enjoy DLC-oriented contents, Royalty Libraries gives you Royal Title, Permits and Custom Bestowing Ceremony, Psycast Libraries gives you vanilla or VPE psycasts, Ideology Libraries gives you meme and precepts.

This mod contains
New Backstories
Lots of Warhammer 40k inspired backstories added for both child- and adult-hood.

This includes Adeptus Astartes, Adepta Sororitas, Astra Militarum, Inquisition, Chaos Space Marines, Traitor Guardsmen, Genestealer Cult and Necrons.

Genestealer Cult and Necrons backstories may update in the future, as well as new backstories for the existing factions.

Astra Militarum and Inquisition backstories are distributed to tribal and outlanders of the vanilla game factions as well.

New Meditation Focuses
  • Imperium of Men: Requires any imperium childhood
  • Adepta Sororitas: Requires any sororitas adulthood.
  • Adeptus Astartes: Requires any Adeptus Astartes adulthood
  • Astra Militarum: Requires any Astra Militarum adulthood
  • Primordial Truth: Requires any Chaos child- or adult-hood.

New Mechanism - Gene-Seed
Gene-seed also gives additional corresponding stats if Combat Extended or Save Our Ship 2 is enabled.






New Xenotypes
All Chapter / Warband oriented xenotypes grant corresponding Gene-Seed hediff to pawn if each sub faction mod is enabled. There would be additional benefits / downsides from Gene-seed hediffs - check each faction mods for the details.

New Quests
Add 5 quest-sets from factions which may have compatibilities with other mods, based on vanilla bandit hunt quest.

  • Hunt the Mutants
  • Hunt the Abominable Intelligence
  • Gene-Seed Stash (Loyalist / Traitor)

Also, if you add each sub faction mod, they will send out random quest supporters among their own, not randomly generated Empires (requires Royalty DLC.)

There are plenty of new abilities added by this mod which I can't list them all here, so let me describe some important abilities.

Requires 2 bandwidths. Weapons requires weapons mod - otherwise they will be spawned as unarmed.





Heavy: Kataphron Servitors
Requires 2 bandwidths. Weapons requires weapons mod - otherwise they will be spawned as unarmed.





New Fortifications








New Books (1.5 only)
Any researches added by this mod set has their own book for research. If you enabled Weapons mod, newly added traders will sell these books as well.

@慕柯 When you enable RimDark, my mod's surgery works as kind of short cut, but in the end the outcome may be similar. So if you intentionally use RimDark, I recommend you to follow their track.

Sorry, I think I have some confusion. I'm using both your mod and RimDark, and both have added geneseed. So if I want to create a Space Marine, which mod's surgery should I use?

1.6: Assembly updated - if you have any issue with Primaris surgery, please unsub > resub this mod.
1.6: New surgery - Gene-seed cloning. Using Pure geneseed basement. Implant the Progenoid Gland to the victim. Victim became coma status for 10 in-game years. While in coma, you can harvest one Progenoid Gland once per 5 in-game years.

Cloning will be expanded to chapter-oriented gene-seeds soon. Gene-Seed mutation function will be separately added after Emperor's Children sub faction mod.

@Darzai Genetic difficulty (or curving difficulty of GW) makes it impossible to let us transform females into meta human. The only two possible ways are either Adeptus Custodes or Sisters of Silence, which both are not in my mod set yet ;(

@emitbreaker So my pawns that would not accept the gene-seed. They are female.... In my defense, most of my pawns are walking around in guard gear and are very difficult to tell apart :p Sry for wasting your time with my brainfart :)

@All Progenoid gland mechanism added to all Gene-seed but World Eaters. Once you pawn's hediff based gene-seed reached to the level of progenoid gland, your pawn gets one progenoid gland on neck. After 5 in game years, he gets one more progenoid gland on torso.

By removing this hediff, you can get 1 gene-seed basement of the marines' gene-seed type (e.g. Death Guard gene-seed basement from death guard marine, Primaris basement + Raven Guard basement from Rubicon Raven Guard).

This only works without RimDark 40k (they have better gene based mechanism) and World Eaters's gene doesn't work as it is intended. I'm current trying to fix world eaters issue as well as implementing gene-seed cloning (by implanting it to the victim) mechanism.

@Dag And to implant death guard gene-seed, you first need to complete gene-seed (chaos) research to unlock the surgery. Then, if you have basement and medicines, you can implant it to baseline MALE pawn. It's not an Adeptus Custodes, so there is no chance for Female pawns from the lore-friendly-perspective ;)

@Dag Give me few more time. I'm currently reworks gene-seed mechanism, so that you can harvest the basement from already-space-marine-guys as per the lore, as well as gene-seed cloning by implanting them into the victims (takes 5 in game years for 1 basement, maximum 2).

@慕柯 This is my current best art skill XD wish me a luck to improve my art skill XD

@northnewt sounds like placeworker doesn't properly work for CE - let me check it toward this weekend. Updating CE-related patch takes extra time to me ;(
