The guardian angel of the elements joins Rivals of Aether to restore balance from the abyss' damage!

Bar is a glass cannon type character that trades defense for power, making him able to deal a lot of damage, and launching foes all around. However, he can also die just as easily, so be careful!

He also has a special glide move that allows him to change direction easily in midair, and works great as a way to recover without using special moves.



MANA GAUGE:
Bar's specials all consume mana, and each move has it's own mana cost. In game, you can tell when certain moves are useable or not, depending on if they are lit or dim in his UI.
Mana can be gained by attacking, getting attacked and parrying attacks, aswell as gaining 2 mana per sec passively.

HOLY BURNING:
Holy burning is a special type of burning that burns your foes' HP faster, but ends pretty fast. All characters that use the burn effect are NOT able to use Bar's holy burning. (ex. zetterburn is not able to burn consume with Bar's holy fire)

SKILL SELECT:
Bar has a total of 12 different special moves he can choose on the character select screen, allowing for a unique approach against your foes.
His skill selection is freeform, allowing you to mix and match any set of specials in any order you want!


Light Dagger (5 MP): Bar creates spears of light and launches the spear heads at foes. Shoots diagonally down in midair. Burning Fury's buff makes the dagger go further and apply holy burning on impact.

Flashbang(10 MP): Grab the foe and shoot them straight down. Using the trajectory it sends Bar, he can followup with most of his aerials. Burning Fury makes Bar shoot himself further away from the enemy and sends the enemy at a different angle.

Ember Fist (20 MP): Bar does a quick punch and send out a stream of holy fire, and the move can be angled to a limited angle. With Burning Fury the move becomes a violent, stationary multihit


Burning Fury (50 MP): Bar buffs his gauntlet punches and most skills, dealing more damage and applying holy burn on foes with gauntlet punches. Using the skill again will make him dash forward/diagonally down
for a 5 hit combo, which can be canceled if the attack button is held down.

Power Smash (30 MP): Bar leaps into the ground and punches a crater into it. The crater constantly burns foes, and there can be only 1 crater at a time.

Light Hookshot (20 MP): Bar creates a light spear and winds up his throw. When the spear is thrown Bar will spawn chains and when the spear hits anything it will catapult bar forward. The longer the special button is held, the further Bar will be catapulted.


Force Leap (10 MP): Bar leaps into the air in a direction you choose. Pressing the special button will make him do a blast that spikes foes down.

Accel Blitz (10 MP): Holding down the special button, Bar will sit in place for a short time before traveling in light speed to the marked location. After getting to the marked location, hitting foes with an attack will prevent Bar from pratfalling.

Searing Descent (10 MP): Bar rises up to the air with a strong, multi hitting fire attack and drops down quickly. He can jump/dodge cancel after a short period of time. Burning Fury increases it's height but makes him able to cancel the move later.


Photon Blast (40 MP): Bar charges his body up for as long as the special button is held. when released, Bar will shoot out waves of light that deal massive damage.

Polaris(50 MP): Bar spawns 4 sparks of light, when he lands a hit successfully a single spark will fly into the enemy for a quick stun attack.

Chasm Burster (30 MP): Bar punches down the ground and releases up to 4 bursts of fire out of the ground. Burning Fury's buff makes him release up to 6 bursts instead.


Bar also has 2 super strong moves called "Overdrives", and has access to them in different ways:

Lord's Punishment: Bar does an entire attack sequence hitting up to ~40% by the end of it. At the end of the move Bar gains the Lord's Blessing buff for 15 secs, which extends the amount of times foes are burnt by holy fire and extends hitpause for all light based attacks.

The way to use this move is by:
1. Using rune O - When the gauges are ready, press attack + special to use the attack
2. Using the final smash buddy - Simply press special to use the attack


Theía Evlogía: Bar taps into his Theïkós state, a powerful state where his power is unrestrained. Using this state, Bar has turbo mode, constant soft armor that becomes basically unbreakable when he attacks, overall faster movement speed, a lot more double jumps and more.
Using rune L will transform Bar into his Theïkós state on his intro animation. It's also used for the brand new "Anti-Cheapie" mode, which allows Bar to transform pressing attack + special after the match starts against any OP character, give them a taste of their own medicine!
