NOTE THAT THIS MOD DOES NOTHING ALONE. YOU NEED OTHER COMPATIBLE MODS

This mod is the CORE Mod required for any mod using the Skin Selector. It is a randomization (RNG) engine that can randommize skins as well as allowing the user to actually change the skins, even when they were already randomized. It works online if the server allows mods. Contrary to its name, it is not only a Skin Selector, it can also do at the same time everything that RNG does.

HOW TO INSTALL

1) Subscribe to this mod
2) Subscribe to a compatible mod
3) Open L4D2 and go to Options > Keyboard/Mouse > Edit Keys/Buttons
4) At the bottom of this page where you can assign keys, look for the SKIN SELECTOR section
5) Bind the keys as you wish, but here are the recommended keys :

If you do not see the SKIN SELECTOR section, try to disable any Vocalizer mod. If it still does not work, go to the Guide for other installation options.

HOW TO USE

1) Press on the Enter Grab Mode key to enter Grab Mode
2) Go near a compatible target, it will glow green
3) When the target is green, press the Grab key (the target will become black)
4) Change skins with Next Skin / Previous Skin, Next Block / Previous Block, Hide / Show keys
5) When you are done editing, press the Release / Stop key

If you have any problem, press the Release / Stop key to exit the Skin Selector
If you want to grab yourself in first person, press the corresponding key
If you want to grab the item you have in first person, press the corresponding key

TROUBLESHOOTING

A) If you see white lines, you forgot to download or activate this mod
B) You cannot grab an item if you have it in your hand and are looking at it in the world
C) If the game crashes, disable heavy RNG mods or mods with a lot of polygons
D) If the Show / Hide is stuck, try pressing multiple times on Show and Hide
E) Not all models have parts that can be removed with Show / Hide
F) Not all parts have skins, some can only be removed
G) You cannot grab a target if you are very close to it.

I think i jumped the gun, the code doesn't exactly work and when I change it from $oneRNGSkinPerMap "0" to "1", it really is just one skin for everyone. It flickers when people move around or get close to each other. I didn't notice when I was testing.

I'd like for you to be able to use my rng mods as a way of advertising your Skin Selector ♥♥♥♥, so if you want I can add you as a contributor to allow you to add your description and pictures, it would also save me the time of having to mimic what you did in my description. I like the mod, by the way, it's very good looking

May i use your code from entity_v1.vmt in my rng mods? I have just recently learned that entity random isn't actually rng and I need to amend all of these mods with real code. It seems to work so far on my latest zps mod for Eugene's pants, its a 14 skin mod and I was able to see visible results of the rng working more properly better

so far I've pretty much just copied your entire code and then I modified the top, i also removed the boomer line, idk if that had anything to add to the integrity of this, but whatever.
