Highlander replaces a big portion of the game's code in order to make it more moddable and mod-compatible, as well as fix a lot of bugs.

As implied by the name, only one Highlander mod can be used at a time. Hence, the Highlander tries to address as many use cases as possible. Not counting fixing bugs, the Highlander does not change the behavior of the game, it merely provides ways for other mods to do so.

Everything that goes into Highlander undergoes rigorous testing and peer review.


Subscribe to the mod and enable it in your mod launcher like you would any other. You should see the Highlander's name and current version appear in the lower right corner of the game's main menu screen.


If you have Alien Hunters DLC installed and enabled, and you are using this version of the Highlander, then you also should install the [WOTC] Alien Hunters Community Highlander plugin as well.

Do NOT install that plugin if you do NOT have the Alien Hunters DLC.
