You should be able to tell if you did it right by downloading it as a mod and testing it out.

Well then it don't work I guess cause I cannot see it when subscribed. I'd still like someone else to try

Check the MOD tab on the left. If you downloaded your mod as a mod, then you should find it there if nowhere else. Sometimes mods only show up there.

I guess I did something wrong then cause its not there but people keep subscribing to it and Asphalt 22. They aren't coming back after I updated it and saying its not there thats why I want feedback from someone who tried it

You have some kind of hell in your folders. Look at how other mods are designed, which files are in the mod's root directory, and which are in a subfolder.
Additionally, when you upload a mod to Workshop, the workshopconfig.ini file will be automatically overwritten. Therefore, if you insert the $OBJECT_BUILDING token with the mod's folder, it will be deleted. To prevent this, you can mark workshopconfig.ini as read-only file.

Okay I have to find a simple one to copy. Some of them have way more files than my simple one has or needs.

So I need to put $OBJECT_BUILDING into the workshopconfig.ini and make that file read only if I read you right.

Okay, nothing I've done has worked, I deleted them, reupped them and advised people on how to move the files to their own user buildings where they should be visible. Should work and it can cause no harm.

Standard format for a mod folder:
- workshopconfig.ini - read-only file with the subfolder name in $OBJECT_BUILDING line
- previewimage.png - workshop building preview
- the subfolder containing the mod

Typical subfolder contents (for buildings):
xxxx.nmf - building model
xxxx.dds - textures file
xxxx.mtl - texture binding and lighting
xxxx_e.mtl - texture binding and night lighting
building.ini - building characteristics
renderconfig.ini - binding of model and materials, other characteristics
imagegui.png - ingame building preview
building.fire - generated automatically
building.bbox - generated automatically

For a simple mod with one building, nothing else is needed. Sometimes bump and emissive files are added. If there are multiple buildings in a mod, each one is placed in a separate subfolder and they are listed in workshopconfig.ini.

Okay, I got it to work. Here is the thing about your help which I thank you for. $OBJECT_BUILDING , <-- OKAY but that will not work alone. After that theirs a space and then the name of the subfolder. I did not understand that LOL, I'm a moron. Also, anyone reading this your subfolder cannot have two separate words, use an underscore as in Asphalt_22.

So anyone reading this I put this in the workshopconfig.ini
$OBJECT_BUILDING Asphalt_22. You are only allowed one space in that line and your subfolder that holds all the other files has to be named that way with the underscore
