Bonjour, j'ai un projet de mod qui est très proche de ce qui a été fait ici et qui n'existe pas encore. Est-il possible d'entrer en contact ? :)

I want to ask you some questions about this mod, it would be very nice if you could add me :resmile:

I do have an example of an achievement in there. The API should be properly documented. As for the "download this mod too", I'm not quite sure. Been a while since I made an Isaac mod, can't remember if there is a dependency.

also, How can I say "Hey, Download this mod too" when I upload a mod to the workshop?

You should do a guide to "How to add achievement", I'm a noob at lua modding for now and I would add an achievement when I complete a specific modded challenge...

Should work, yeah

Does this work with modded characters (i.e. in such a way that they can beat x final boss without the game crashing)?

@Dr Robotnik
No, since it is a mod you can't unlock normal achievements. Also, I can't make an unlocked version, as that goes beyond the power of the API. Nothing I can do about it.

mods can now be used w/o disabling achievements

What type of sick f*** tells players he is including modding but breaks normal game progression? This is horror ♥♥♥♥.
Azzy_Asurazariel 3. maj 2017 kl. 11:31
@Onyx - Can you make it so there is a 4th save file that allows normal game progression with mods without steam achievements? #PLAYISSACTHEWAYITWASADVERTISED I only pre-orderd the game because I thought I could play it my way I don't care about steam achievements but I would like to stop using 100% complete Issac save files just to enjoy mods. I like progression.

I feel I was cheated by Ed because he promised modding but like devil room deals I got shafted. "Lets allow players to mod - however lets bar them from having fun by breaking game progression!"

Actually, you could add it to the list in the character menu, but i don't know if it's possible after a certain state (in this case, appear in the list only after getting the achievement)

Alright, thanks for letting us know.

@Caleb
Yes, players can still walk. Actually, time still works for everything. I will look into it. As for the item to appear in the item list, that is not possible. You can't change it to where if you unlock an achievement the item shows up in the list. That goes beyond the power of the API. But, do remember, this is just an example, I didn't really intend for this to just be a mod where you can unlock Petrified Poop for ???, but to merely serve as example on how to use this mod for yourself.
Rogue Makoto 25. apr. 2017 kl. 19:03
Nice. This will be really helpful. My only concerns are players are able to walk with the achievement pop up still up unlike actual achievements in the game, but I think that can be fixed. Also, when you unlock Petrified Poop for ???, it doesn't have Petrified Poop listed as ???'s items. Again, a small concern, but I feel as if though that is an easy fix.
SandTag 25. apr. 2017 kl. 10:21
does it allow regular achivements to be enabled when using mods? if not, please make an "unlocked" version that scraps the lock.
Onyx  [ophavsmand] 24. apr. 2017 kl. 13:17
Ofc you can use it :) I didn't make this just to show it off and say "look at how cool I am". I made this hoping to get modders to use it. So go, use it, spread the word! :D
Navag8r 24. apr. 2017 kl. 8:12
Hi, can i use this to add achievements a character in my mod?
Orpy 24. apr. 2017 kl. 4:58
Quick, subscribe to it so it gets noticed by more people.

Looks interesting hopefully some of the more popular mods pick this up.
