can someone link me the no meteor block damage mod
VoydFox 26. mar. 2022 kl. 14:30
@Kronolos
propably not, bc if he only changed the Sound and graphic of the metheorites, it'll work fine
but the big betheorites, alot of pieces will spawn that fly all over the place, maybe it will just replace the ground or not spawn at all or just break, but the best example is to test it out!
Aethis 16. sep. 2021 kl. 15:38

submissive femboy 13. juli 2019 kl. 9:55
I like this mod it makes starbound more like real life
Jokiu 22. maj 2019 kl. 20:00
I got a mod that prevents meteors from causing craters on impact. Would this mod conflict with that?
Empress Fordola 11. apr. 2019 kl. 20:56
wont the planet stop existing after a while of those impacts? lol
Hotklou 1. apr. 2019 kl. 5:33
Great mod. This should be vanilla!
Hotklou 1. apr. 2019 kl. 5:33
The meteors give new value to building underground bases.
Local Snorlax 6. aug. 2018 kl. 10:06
With the mod that allows a permanet meter shower to be a thing... I think a few planets my stop existing.
KLBR-L356 "Pengoot" 13. juni 2018 kl. 15:01
Ah, now my favorite planet (Scorched) can be even more like a complete hell.
ToasterToastMan 10. juni 2018 kl. 14:05
it's apart of the heavier impact i bet...besides...it is a meteor
Sinnroy 2. juni 2018 kl. 13:43
can you make meteors not damage blocks?
ScrambieBambie 18. dec. 2017 kl. 7:14

Konstamonsta 10. juni 2017 kl. 14:26

Ranze61 10. juni 2017 kl. 9:16
[Error] Duplicate projectile asset typeName regularexplosionnospark. configfile /projectiles/explosions/regularexplosionnospark/regularexplosionnospark.projectile
this mod is not working for me
Gladys Oroborus 25. maj 2017 kl. 2:00
Finally took some rock showers (BTW my avali took one in the face, he didn't like it! XD)
And that's really way better than the original firecracker sound. Still have to see a giant meteor (and not dying from the impact). And again, good work!

You see a meteor made it in the tunnel.
Gladys Oroborus 24. apr. 2017 kl. 2:19
Moons (for sure) and wastelands (I think...). Check at your planet scanning screen on the navigation, at the right of the screen there are the different possible weathers for the planet you're ship is orbiting at...
Meteors are quite rare to spawn it seems, saw them twice in my whole playthrough (but I admit I didn't spent much time on these planets =b)
By the way, does anyone know a way to trigger weathers manually (admin commands, mods...)
I haven't found anything about that so far...
Apollyon 23. apr. 2017 kl. 11:55
where do meteors spawn i havent seen any exept the super small ones that dont do anything
Gladys Oroborus 4. apr. 2017 kl. 14:20
Okay, no problem! I can't help you concerning video software, don't know anything about that. =b
But I always have to take a meteor rain and see that in game, that looks brutal! XD
I should go on a moon trip tomorrow... ^^
Xaliber  [ophavsmand] 4. apr. 2017 kl. 9:19
Hiya Dracheneisen, thanks for letting me know! :)

Fortunately it doesn't have any consequences, only that the game recognizes there is duplicate asset in the game. I've been wanting to fix that tiny bug, along with updating this mod with better sound effect and animation. But my video editing software crashes every time I record my game (Corel VideoStudio, so darn expensive but so fragile!) so unfortunately I gotta suspend the update until I get better alternative. If anyone knows something I could use I'd be thankful!
Gladys Oroborus 3. apr. 2017 kl. 10:37
Hi Xal, a possible bug with this mod, stumbled accidentally on it while checking something else on the log, I don't even know if there are in-game consequences (didn't took a meteor shower yet since I added this mod), here is the log, line 376 : https://pastebin.com/ugQxT09x

Checked when I deactivate the mod, that line doesn't appear...
Oh, and great job, by the way! ^^
Axilian 24. mar. 2017 kl. 6:23
This with the weather hell mod, well... good luck
Jay 23. mar. 2017 kl. 15:46
@Cpl. Sigma Skye
That does sound interesting, it's funny that asteroid fields never contain iron (understandable as a gameplay balancer), yet real asteroids are essentially solid hunks of iron.
Xaliber  [ophavsmand] 23. mar. 2017 kl. 12:05
@Mr. Cockatoo:
Untested, but it should be client-side as it adds new animation.

@Cpl. Sigma Skye:
Hmm. Sounds interesting, but not sure if I'm going to venture to that. The meteor is already in the vanilla game, I only change the sound effect, animation, and adds a fire burn.

But, that definitely would make an interesting new weather type. I'll keep that in mind.
Tango Foxtrot 23. mar. 2017 kl. 6:42
In addition to the risk, there must be some benefit with this mod. Say, the Impacts give off ores in the surrounding area.
Jay 21. mar. 2017 kl. 15:43
Is this mod client-side or server-side?
Xaliber  [ophavsmand] 13. mar. 2017 kl. 5:47
@GnomeKing:
Oh well if you do make a meteor that can create impact that huge, I don't think the game will break, but it might takes some time to load that humongous amount of block destruction and projectile spawns (the small meteors that come out upon impact).
Feat: Dante from Devil May Cry 12. mar. 2017 kl. 8:42
@Xaliber
I meant if you made an apocolypse type meteor, that destroys a large portion of the planet
Xaliber  [ophavsmand] 12. mar. 2017 kl. 1:06
The audio needs a bit tweaking, and I've tweaked it. But my recording software is broken so I can't update the video.

@GnomeKing:
What do you mean? There are only two types of meteor in this game, small meteor and large meteor (3x larger than the small meteor). Meteor can't get larger than that. Meteor won't break your game, but it can destroy your base upon impact.
Feat: Dante from Devil May Cry 11. mar. 2017 kl. 20:45
If a meteor got too big though, wouldn't that probably break ya game??
Pyrelancer 11. mar. 2017 kl. 10:50
Awfully one sided audio on those videos, but then again my headset is poop. This definitely makes meteors sound more threatening, though.
Presumptuous Spacemans 3. mar. 2017 kl. 17:08
i never saw a large meteor before...
zeezy 21. feb. 2017 kl. 3:56
earrape
Xaliber  [ophavsmand] 19. feb. 2017 kl. 1:13
@Samitsu:
Good idea! I've been planning to make "more random encounters" mod so that will fit perfectly.
Nyantai 19. feb. 2017 kl. 0:44
Pretty spiffy mod. I always thought SB's meteor showers were pretty weaksauce.
Both a suggestion and a request, can you make a version where we'd sometimes get like Meteor Crater tier ones or even Yucatan Pennisula crater (the one the wiped the dinosaurs) tier. I'm talking like World ending level meteor impacts that leave a HUUUGE crater the size of countries and blanketing the whole planet in ash.
[DN] pphed 13. feb. 2017 kl. 16:05
i just did but your a busy child i understand that
Xaliber  [ophavsmand] 12. feb. 2017 kl. 20:57
@pphed:
If you're not satisfied with the mod I welcome any suggestions to make it better.
[DN] pphed 12. feb. 2017 kl. 14:14
well you could make large meteor go farther through the surface but thats none of my bussines
Xaliber  [ophavsmand] 12. feb. 2017 kl. 13:10
@pphed
If you have any suggestions on how it can be improved, let me know.
