At the moment this kind of error with v25.58 would suggest another mod is replacing my rain sound work
<ERROR> [sound] Failed to initialize sound '/sound_fixes_pack/traffic/trailers/speedboat_tarp.soundref'.
I'm not running any other sound mods.
@baseballallsta2005 - Thanks!
@java - Not from this mod, so I guess it's a sound mod for a specific truck model.
@delboyspencer YNWA JFT97 - Thank you so much! :)
I am trying to chase down why my shifter sounds are gone.
Was this mod adding the really lovely clicky-clacky gear shifting sounds?
It is a big deal for a mod with this title. I've uploaded a fix for the issue and backported it to the 1.56 game version as well
Cool your jets dude, I wasn't complaining, I was reporting, there is a difference.
@Drive Safely
Yes, I am using that mod, so it's likely that. Thanks.
This suggests your mod load order is likely to not meet the minimum requirements and there is at least one mod you're using not updated for 1.56.
I would guess the Realistic Train Lengths since that is a train related sound reference
I'm experiencing some red error messages from this mod in the console log.
They are related to the "et44ah.soundref" file. I'm using v1.56 of ATS.
Thanks.
UDClientService.exe, associated with Lenovo's "UDC Service," is a background process for managing the Unified Device Client (UDC) framework. This service facilitates communication, updates, and control between Lenovo devices and associated software
The Steam Workshop mod folders only contain the contents of the respective mods. It can't automatically create leftover files or registry entries outside of the folder.
Therefore now you know the mod is safe to use
It uses: 'UDC-Services' in BACKGROUND. -!!!- WITHOUT: PLAYING -!!!-
'UDC': Controlling MOUSE, KEYBOARD, and INPUT DEVICES.
NO NORMAL MOD; should use this service.
"HOW TO REMOVE:"
OPEN EXPLORER:
GO: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\270880 → '270880'Thats ATS on my Device.
-Try to move all mods to the Desktop.
-You may notice one mod cannot be moved.
-Open Task Manager → End Task UDC-Service.
- NOW: Move the mod to the Desktop.
-Permanently delete it using a professional deletion program (not the Recycle Bin) to remove all leftover files and registry entries.
-Get all your other Mods back in the Folder '270880'
-!!!- TELL IT YOUR INGAME-FRIENDS -!!!-
Thanks for the video as well. Although I was aware of the sound item already from visiting Topeka in the game, it is good to see this effort in reporting issues. :)
https://youtu.be/1-KSTmV7R1o (First without the mod, no sound. Then with the mod)
Okay, I checked it and it was the trees with the wind. The thing is that the sound has some low "cracking" noises at certain points of the track, and that's why I noticed it.
That is also what I find annoying.
My apologies.
Did anyone else hear like a soft white noise on 3th person?? Its like the leaves of the trees moving with the air, but for me is really annoying. I dont remember it.
(Im right now at Topeka Junct 70 - 470, right pass the toll booth.)
Its a weird sound bug or just an implemented sound??
Maybe body (now that I say it, I don't think body wear has any related sounds) or engine wear would work better? Engine makes way more sense now that I think about it, lol. I know when the engine is damaged it has sounds related to the damage value, but I don't know if any sounds are there for the wear value of the engine.
