Heya Digi! This block isn't appearing under your custom tab in the toolbar config for me. Any idea why?

Well the game has built in client-side scripts for screens to use, two of them have real clock in them (for some reason).

@Himsausen I believe real time can be shown using AutoLCD2 script. The in-game time might be harder, but I guess Isy's Solar Alignment script has this feature. I'm not good with C# but I'm pretty sure that part of his script can be used to display in-game time. With Isy's permission of course.

We would need LCD screens that can automatically show ingame time, real time (on computer), and various specs of the station the screen is connected to, and also player stats, without any need to learn the programming. Can you do this?

@Digi Any chance of getting these working again? Just found this mod myself, and I love it. But the latest "bugfix" that broke modded LCDs is crippling it.

Would be great if the keybord will leads to "custom data" instead of the screen.

@Digi I've used those and they save space but they look strange on the wall where as the computer screen and keyboard look normal

Maybe include that little center pedestal below the keyboard from the new block model as well that continues down to the ground to give a lower mount point as well as keeping with the new block model style.

@Digi I second Richard Asgard's request. This would be great as a PB as it does not take up a whole 2.5 meter cube. Of course with the new block model screen and keyboard shape and textures.

That IS the programmable block. It's the smallship model, turned into an LCD screen. If he made this into a PB, then it would litterally be turned back into what it is...

This is so awesome Can u make more computer like LCD models? There are basicly no mods for that.

Agree with Constipated Squirrel 152 for Small ship grid.
For Large ship grid you can make Keyboard out of block behind the LCD - Programmable Block as a wall with LCD Panel placed on it.
I assume Programmable block cannot show anything itself :(

1x1x1 is not planned, it's too tiny to be useful as a keyboard+monitor thing in this game. Just use the normal 1x1x1 LCD if you want that small of an LCD.

Please make separate screen and keyboard blocks, it would certainly add to the immersion, and creativity of this mod.
It would be a combination of this, and your computer screen programmable block mod.

Keyboard = Programmable Block (it should be placable under the screens)
Screen sizes = 4x4x1, 3x3x1, 2x2x1, and 1x1x1.
But please keep existing blocks.

Can we get the keyboard standalone as a programmable block? Use an LCD of choice separately.

For small ships since I don't think that'd work well on large. For best results, probably mounted near the top of the block so the LCD is flush with the screen of choice.

Side note: I LOVE the concept of this mod! Is it possible to make 1x1x1 and 2x1x1 vanilla LCD screens with control panels? IMHO it's really annoying to have this giant yellow box covering the info your trying to look at.

It's black for me too oddly enough, However the text screen still appears to work properly.

I've had this with other mods as well, but sometimes it works, other times not, there doesn't seem to be much of a pattern to it as i can tell, and if this block is black, then it happens to the programable block also, same with biomechs armor thrusters and the vanilla ones, if one is black textured so is the other

I dunno, it worked when I tested it, must be that randomly black texture issue that's going on with some of my other mods.

Hopefully this issue will be fixed in the next patchmas :}

i use several of your mods... like the Gravity Collector, Micro Timer and, of course, the Computer Monitor.

Unfortunately since yesterday with the introduction of DX11 shaders all models are black (from other Authors as well).

Would be great to have DX11 models.. especially because i use a insane amount of your Displays to show several Stats of my Stations and ships on them.

I would love to see something like this replace the large grid programmable block. It's always seemed strange that the small grid programmable block was a monitor/keyboard similar to this mod yet the large grid programmable block is huge. Should be similar in nature to the small grid block.

I really like this, but most textures are quadratic, so... can you please make a 1/4 block size lcd? I dont like have a full wall with an lcd... thanks!

The keyboard is the 'open private text' thing that the rest of the screens have on their screens, using your terminal key you can access the CP through it as well.

i haven't tried the mod yet but might i suggest (if it's not like this already) making the keyboard a control panel? idk if the mod api will let you do that but if it will it would definitely be cool

I fully understand your argument in not wanting to mix stuff up. Yes you can use the text panel for to have a 1x1x1 screen on small ships, but the problem is, that it is just a flat plane without nice details. Also in several cases it just does not look really good when you have to place inside between two blocks, the text panel is located so deep inside. The programable block model has some more depth as it has some distance between the mounting point and the screen. You know what I mean?

aww it wouldn't be confusing at all! All they need is a different name/picture in the G menu. The programmable block that is there now doesn't have the LCD. It's just a boring blue screen. The LCD would give the appearance of it being a programmable with the versatility of an LCD.

Guys, the smallship version is the Programmable block, it would get highly confusing :)

Use the Text Panel block if you want a 1x1x1 screen.
