Love the mod but is there anyway to disable or lower the volume of the constant tire screeching? It's a bit excessive imo

I think that this mod makes the game crash if there are too many ragdolls. I am not 100% sure but I was leaving a place where I had a ton of ragdolls and my game crashed (first time it does lol). Then when I went back into the game all mods had been disabled. Again I am not sure but I am guessing it is this mod since it crashed after I ran over a ragdoll or two, I think.

Otherwise, really cool mod. I'll keep playing with it and will be more cautious.

Not sure if it's been asked before, but is there a possibility of getting a neutral gear? I like to rev lol

No luck on read only, there is some kind of mystery interaction that happens whenever I load my save that resets it to vanilla somehow.

It's a long shot, but have you ever heard of mods that require this kinda manual installation resetting at all besides game updates and file validation? Gonna try setting the files to read only for now and see if that stops this from happening.

So its unfortunate theres no any method to maintain guaranteed space between backdors and towed object like in vanilla, since i wanted to improve vehicle physics but ability to tow rv without headache is greater

@Dourbest: see the mod options menu for tire volume.
Tow slower if you don't want to smash your car and try slowing down by tapping the brakes until the vehicles make contact, then slowing down harder. Or use towtruck mods for safer towing.

Can i disable new tire scratching sounds? It gets loud sometimes for no reason. Also i didn't understood towing experience since it causes your car insta crushed backdoors on every stop

Having trouble getting this mod to "stick" recently for some reason.
It worked great for dozens of hours over a week or so but now it suddenly stops working whenever I quit and load back in, even if I don't quit the game (so it's not game update or file validation messing with it). I can only fix it by reinstalling it every time I quit the game.

Any idea what could be messing with it?

Is there supposed to be no engine braking when off the gas even in manual mode?

@Igrockgames Yea, you may have had a previously conflicting java mod installed like better Car Physics (Validate game files to uninstall java mods)

@uncleBob Your free to adjust the rolling friction in sandbox settings to taste. But it simulates <1993 automatic transmissions, they didn't have any engine braking due to a freewheel clutch in the torque converter that allowed for very long coasts at low speed.

Let's say that's true under ideal conditions. But what about the gearbox braking when in gear? And the inertia still seems excessive to me (maybe it's just me). Even at minimum speed, when driving off the road into grass and soft ground, the car still moves for a very long time. (The gear shifting is manual; I'll check now. Maybe that's the whole problem and it's some kind of bug. Thanks for the mod. Overall, I like everything.

@uncleBob That is how it works in real life at low speeds on smooth roads. At higher speeds (or offroad) you'll find there is more drag and you need to keep full throttle to reach and maintain top speed.

greetings, after the upgrade by releasing the gas you can drive by inertia almost indefinitely. is this problem just for me?

@camatam785 Known issue that is fixed in the current beta on the discord. Thanks for reporting it though. Some other weirdness may be experienced with switching from reverse to forward/forward to reverse above 5mph, best to use autoreverse for now if you wanna avoid it, or come to a complete stop before reversing.

In manual mode if I throw it in reverse while driving the tire screech gets extremely loud. Only happens when going from first to reverse. Playing with standard sandbox settings, tried it with modded and vanilla cars with both high and low condition tires, still happens. Ain't a big deal, just an audio glitch, just scared me half to death first time it happened

Ya man, 1.3 did the trick. Enough to keep it from burning out in reverse and enough for a small chirp when accelerating lol. Thanks again brother.

Now then, while it's delightful that towing has become so comfortable, I keep getting rear-ended spectacularly when turning or stopping.
Well, well, that's only to be expected if you've put the gear in neutral and released the handbrake, isn't it?
Well, that is to say, how on earth do you all stop when towing? Do you really just ram into the rear end to halt?

@PANZER If you have racing parts, its likely due to how much horsepower your vehicle has. That or KI5 didn't set the correct friction setting on his tires. Either way I suggest you adjust the sandbox settings to taste.

Low tire pressure causes more drag on road, but does not change traction.
Offroad, it increases traction and reduces drag (expect to do a lot of burnouts offroad if you floor it!)

Yessur brand new tires on a k15 utility defender. Would air pressure matter at all? It has a bunch of racing engine parts though from summer car. I'll play with the sandbox settings in a bit. Thank you for the reply and work you put into this man.

That file is part of the mod install and not created by playing in SP.

Anyway, glad you found out it wasn't an issue with my mod but an issue with multiplayer and mods in general.

Okay i think i know what might be the cause. Mods create those files but first i need to start singleplayer with those mods... It is a theory cuz when i deleted this(realistic..) mod and left reorder hotbar mod(as a new mod) in console now this mod appeared with missing files. Will test this tommorow and let you know.

Weedogo: Dunno then why the file isn't showing up. Unless its the same kinda issues B41 had where the mods would get desynced from steam... Usually I would just delete my workshop\content\108600, and whatever that folder is that the server keeps its mods in, validate files in steam (re-downloads every single mod..) and start from scratch again. Been a few years since I had to do that though.

Could try just deleting the 3559765660 folder (this mods ID) and validating, but often when I did that the server would just complain about another mod next, then another mod...

The file is part of the mod distribution. I don't know why it would be missing, unless your also running Bugzapper9000, it has the same file that does the same thing, but shouldn't cause any issues to have both. (LUA file overrides between mods are valid)

I know, im using Death Legion multiplayer mod. Sorry for misunderstanding. Weird thing is that files that came with mod don't do anything in that specific folder where missing file should be located(I confirmed it with admin on discord of this mod).

Hi, i tried adding this mod on my server but i get couldn't find "media/lua/shared/animalcorpsefix.lua". From where do i get that missing file?

The ground issue should resolve itself when you move far enough away.

Hmm, I tried attaching a humvee that was had no tires to my car, to get it out of the way. Both the humvee and my car disappeared immediately upon connecting them.. And since then, any car I'm getting into, has its tires fall through the ground and become unusable. I got the last update
