I'm having an issue where I'm not notified when a settlement is getting attacked or scouted, and when I try to click on the settlement being attacked (or about to be attacked), it's not giving me the option to defend and send troops :/ Is this a bug? I have a military built for each settlement. No other mods other than empire and rimwar.

@Spamton G. Spamton: Simply use the button (can't remember where it is, sorry) and a portion of your accumulated research from empire will be used on your current project.

@Tardo The Ass-Monkey: That is already fixed in the experimental (github) version, which is being worked on but we want to release when possible. Sorry for the problems it may be causing you, feel free to change to the experimental version but be warned that, just like the name indicates, it's experimental, so expect a few bugs (although for the most part people don't seem to have much issue with them from what I can see).

Getting a warning everytime taxes are delivered, and a message telling me to report it if I'm not skipping time (which I'm not, as far as I know). I'm also getting a warning about it reseting the time between taxes, which is annoying, since it always sets it to 1 day even when I go change it to be longer.

It is fully possible that it has something to do with my other mods. I run a lot, and admittedly do basically the bare minimum sorting and debugging to keep things running. But I looked over the errors and didn't see any other mod names mentioned, so I'm not sure.

@Anny we want to change a few aspects of the mod but for now nothing is planned, mainly due to lack of manpower.

I wonder. are there a sub mod or plan option to expand more building slot? have ton of buildings but only 8 feel limited tho this is my first time play far with empire so dont have any reaching level 5 yet

Also sorry to hear about the issues changing versions has done to your save, hopefully you were able to save your save.

Note for people switching to the github version after reading these comments, take care doing so on an active save. One of my colonies broke completely, and I keep getting errors checking faction resources (Not gonna create a full bug report for something is going to obviously have issues, but here's the log just in case you're interested. ONLY happens when loading a save that already has an empire from the version, reloaded with the github version: https://pastebin.com/PmyCybUW) .

Load your save without empire, save the game without the mod loaded, then load it again with the github version enabled, start a new empire. Also the github version is currently incompatible with Humanoid Alien Races, at least in my mod list, gives errors on HAR side pulling the player faction races, disabling HAR fixes it. Left a bug report in the discord with the error log.

As it is the only way I found it was by going through the trello board for any item that had a link to individual github pull requests, cause it wouldn't show up on google search. Appreciate it!

@norseman055 known bug, fixed in experimental (github) version, sorry for any issues it may have caused. It will eventually be added to regular version.

The tithe drop time changing by itself also sometimes happens to me.

every once in a while, the time between tithe drops from whatever i set it at down to 1 day, typically after the tithe timer popping. not a game breaker at all, but mildly irritating to have to change it from 1 to 15 every time this happens. getting tithe every day as opposed to once a quadrum very rapidly breaks my wealth.

Hey @Dqrksxcvll would it be possible for you to either join the discord and create a bug report or start a discussion here in the mod page and put your full logs so we know what is up with the code?

For now I'd suggest trying the experimental version in github (link in discord or steam description) and see if the new versions fix the issue, the only thing is that, as stated, it's an experimental version, so expect bugs if you do change.

there a bug it keep appearing my millitary cooldown, when the cooldown it done there a notification right but when i close it, its keep appearing again and again till 300-9999+ it cant be stopped please fix it i cant play the game

If you have it... I think it doesn't matter... But if I'm not mistaken rimworld loads mods in a regular order so it should be under so it overwrittes what has already been loaded (I'm not 100% sure since I'm not a modder, sorry if I'm mistaken)

Unless you modify the mod files... no.

There is the option to tithe (give resources and not silver), but it has a lower amount and has a cost (which means that for every x silver you would receive, you receive 1 of that material).

Empire creates another faction that serves as your empire, you can treat that as you getting a rando that manages finances, combat and everything while you just reap the benefits and tell that guy what to do with the settlements.

@Latex Santa as zsazsazsu said (he's the one doing the programming) real life takes its toll, I would love to have the mod updated soon but sadly real life gets in the way. If you or someone you know would like to contribute to the mod we'd be happy to recieve the help, but for now things will go slowly.

You can use the experimental branch in github which has the latest updates, both in form of new content and bug fixes.

We have been told by some people to change how roadbuilding works but for now it's no a priority, you can disable it in the faction options tho, and yeah tax notifications are a bit annoying which I don't actually know if a toggle was added on the experimental version or not.

You can't, empire uses other faction's pawns, you cannot use yours.

You can in the experimental version in the github (link in the description), but for now it's only available there. It will eventually be added as a feature in the stable branch and steam.

Probably stupid question. Is it possible to select prefered xenotypes for my faction? Im playing as undead and my tax deliveries arrive with random elves/humans and even demos lol

Since this is a question I cannot find an answer for on the wiki. Can we populate settlements soley with pawns we send to them as a way of "discarding" extra pawns from the colony?

Seems like this mod makes the Vanilla Expanded tech tree invisible or the tech tree with this mod becomes invisible depending on load order.

@Latex Santa October was the supposed deadline however things indeed get in the way and more bugs have come to light thanks to some great comments and the increase of visitors on discord.

I can't give an exact ETA but i have less work outside of this mod now so I have free time back into this!

Or December? I know you said possibly October. I know life happens and takes priority.
I know it's free and it was always going to be late. I was willing to tolerate a late October release.

There is a bug causing a sudden crash. When creating a squad in the military interface, sometimes the system will crash when selecting the already created units.

Also another thing I've noticed is that the Empire, which I have honor for and would like to progress is impossible because for some reason even though my main settlement is friendly with them, they are enemies of my faction. So due to the constant congo line of hundreds of thousands of silver I am unable to accept the quest as there are "enemies on the map". Tried accepting it in Dev mode, they dropped in and where immediately ambushed killing 3 of the Jans while the last few grabbed the dude and ran for their life lol

currently having a panic attack as I constantly have streams of groups dropping off silver daily from amounts of 1k-11k so I am sitting with silver tiled floors, golden houses, and 300,000+ silver in storage countless not, and two giant orbs of ore, food, silver, etc in several locations have to constantly move the drop off marker as it gets to packed, thats with 30-40 people 30 of which are undead and do not sleep yet cant keep up with the sheer amount of taxes as @BOKI has mentioned

I noticed in a Medieval play through that Dark Forest has all 1 modifiers despite it being a massive forest type biome with tons of animals. Noticed the same with Dusk Wood biomes, all 1 modifiers is there a way to edit these to make them comparable to similar biomes like temp/rain forest?
