Put out an update. This will fix the horn issues (far as I can tell anyways) and allow your thrumkin to operate in space without their noses sticking out of their faceplates. Thrumkin plants should function again and the mod will now work better with Harvest Yield (Continued) again.

I had to remove their ability to spawn with other factions while I continue to work on a fix there. Something in the patch structure clearly needs to change or they'll keep spawning en masse which is not ideal.

Still working on why they may not be butcherable.

Going to be updating a bit today... Looks like Horns should be working again properly when removed and replaced but still making sure its all working right. Also the plant error will be gone and the mod will be effected again by [SYR] Harvest Yield (Continued). I could have sworn... someone had just commented here a bit back...

I'm working on Mantodeans at the moment trying to get their code working. Hired someone to do it and am in the process of making sure its all working. Then I will be hiring someone to shore up the code for Thrumkin. I swear I have not forgotten you all!

is not being able to butcher thrumkin WAD? i made butcher all settings not forbidden, in range etc and it says no corpse available despite it being fresh

cool cool. I first noticed it was strange since im getting whole squads of the empire faction (Vanilla expanded) being made almost entirely of thrumkin patrols.
edit: oh nice to see im not the only one in the comments with the population issues lol

Certainly nothing I intended. I'll take a look when I'm able and see if I can figure why. I actually reduced the situations they should have been spawning a little bit... maybe I used the opposite direction I should have....

hey man so i noticed a LOOOOT of thrumkin are in the game now. discernable amount compared to before. did anything change in the code to make this happen? It feels like they are on par with baseliner humans

@Avian, I didn't change any of their spawn rates for the Empire from the original. I'll see if I can find a cause on my end.

Not sure if my world is crazy rn, but my world seems to be populated by 75% thrumkin, not just limited to the modded faction. Its this intended? Last time I had this mod i dont remember the empire being mostly thumkin soldiers

Updated Thrumkin with a new "hoof" as the one they were using was able to be targeted by Vacuum even when covered in a suit.

There were two approaches I could use, patching vanilla Hoof to add it and giving them a new hoof unique to them. I choose to give them their own hoof so that I wasn't interacting as much with a vanilla def and changing it in a way that could potentially cause issues.

A side effect of this, might, be that any new Thrumkin will be able to wear suits and not suffer issues. Any existing Thrumkin however will not receive the change. They also may just no longer have hooves... which would be concerning. If they do not have hooves you can replace their hooves by using Character Editor (a mod) to restore their lost limb. Alternatively if they haven't lost their limbs randomly but you also want to update their hoof, you should be able to amputate their legs then replace them using Character Editor and it "should" (It did in my test) replace it with the new hoof.

Thats interesting. Apparently there is a Hoof on the body but no def to define the hoof. Surprised thats not causing an error. I should be able to fix that hopefully by tonight. Suspect that will fix that issue.

The other three outstanding issues are still WIP. >.> Sorry for those that is inconveniencing.

Thank you for updating this mod! Thrumkin are my favorite. However, there is one issue that I have been having: armor does not seem to work/apply to their feet/hooves, making it very difficult for them to be out in space.

Np. also thrumkins dont seem to be able to make use of manual recreation from this mod except for horseshoe pins heres my log and the mod.

Updated for 1.6. NOTE: there is some code issues involving plants. I did not see any game breaking issues with it so I let it go out. I'll work on getting that fixed.

@Blub-Blub I'm a submarine, uh... Thats... Is this supposed to be in reference to the Mantodeans Continued mod? Cause that definitely shouldn't happen with Thrumkin... Can you give me more information and submit it to the Bugs discussion please. (A hugs lib report would be useful if you have one.)

getting several errors all along the line of

Could not resolve cross-reference to Verse.ThingDef named L24_Manto_ChemicalRefinery (wanter=fixedBillGiverDefs)

Any idea about a fix?

I would have to thank you for going in and fixing these guys, I have been so hesitant on adding them into my playthrough because of the issues the other one had but I'm happy thats no longer the case here.

could be a myriad of other mods causing an issue but only my thrumkin colonist is having an issue where there are no options for them when drafted, not even undraft

Unsure as to why, but in the 'Create character' section, theres no Thrumkin option among the other types ( ie. Baseliner, Waster and such)

No problem! Few issues still outstanding that I've found but I haven't figured how to fix yet. (Like their horns not properly rendering with the Steel or Enhanced.) I'll keep fiddling so folk can enjoy.

@ImperialForce9, Yes, at least so far in my testing. Seems to have been tied to them missing their blood def (and smear I suppose) which as of 1.5 needs to be defined for HAR races.

If you notice any errors or bugs or what have you let me know.

I presume this fixes the bug where for whatever reason when Thrumkins take damage, they NEVER bleed regardless of wound type and can't be bandaged up by anyone, which also causes an annoying ping that tells you "X Thrumkin colonist has healed" when it means that their unpatchable wound is slowly but surely healing back to max at a rate of 0.1 at a time?

Update that adds Loadfolders, shifts some patch stuff around and adds Natural Meditation focus. Got children seemingly working properly, though I'll need to eventually get a furry texture for them later.

Steel Horns and Enhanced Horns aren't working properly when applied but I'll try to figure that out.

Intending to do another update tomorrow or on the weekend. Setting up some additional Biotech (children mostly) compatibility. Also adjusting File structures to use Loadfolders and slight adjustments to patches. (Like giving thrumkin backstories Natural meditation focus for Anima trees.)

Hopefully I'll get the last bits of adjustment for children fixed up and be able to drop it tomorrow.

Just a heads up since the 1.3-1.4 is handled by previous versions of this mod, I will be removing them from this specific one. I will only be supporting 1.5 (and probably onward) for the time being.
