A Non - Ratkin pawn CANNOT pick up anything Ratkin related to equip it as they are "Human" but if you use character edit and add it to the pawn they will use it
This means Ratkin's restrictions on equipment are a legacy of the HAR framework as that was the only way to enforce body types before xenotypes existed, if the race requirement on a Ratkin apparel, weapon etc is removed and somehow changed to a Thin body type gene lock then we can have our cake and eat it
I don't know why the other Ratkin mod would be DMCA'd but if done by the original developer I hope instead of just doing it to this one they reach out to Seanggag and offer to merge the Xenotype into their own mod
Also, are they exclusively female like in the basic ratkin mod, or do we see a mix? It was kinda charming to mod in ratkin femboys...
Pulling out the Xenotypes and making them their own independent thing is a great idea and the way all the custom race mods should have gone seeing as the custom races themselves were only used as a stop gap method before Biotech existed
