actually incredible. game felt and looked terrible even when getting high fps, mod makes it completely smooth and near perfect on dedicated servers. highly recommend anyone with a VRR display to use this in combination with Special K (end-of-frame Reflex mode)

I really like the mod, but there's one problem: the background optimization increases the FPS, but the background starts to move behind the character.

Wasted 5 hours of my life trying to figure out the mod that broke my game. I could only see the background blocks like walls, but the other blocks showed up in the pause menu. Hope this helps anyone with the same problem.

Is there any way to keep the speed of clouds normal? currently they are sped up by the mod even when the game speed is otherwise normal

all this mod does is make my input lag worse, the optimization features just cause world visual bugs too

aight ive found a work around to getting 60 fps again tho idk how to do it with amd cards but should be similar, so you will need to have the tmodloader file which you can find from the tmodloader settings in your libary and you will need nvidia control pannel (use amd equivalent) you will need the manage 3d settings tab on control pannel ( and use the browse local files on tmodloader to manually get the tmodloader folder to appear and then add it to the control pannel, scroll through the programs settings tab on 3d settings till you find the "Max frame rate" bit and input 60fps (repeat with the .net that runs tmod too just in case) for extra you can add +fps_max 60 to launch options in the tmod steam settings. Check my accounts videos for a quick video on how to fix it

Placing blocks simply doesn't work sometimes, seems like the inputs have a chance to get eaten at higher FPS values. It will look like you've placed everything as normal, but for other players they'll see several blocks missing, and if you disconnect and rejoin the server the blocks will be gone.

I'm playing with Thorium + Spirit Classic + Fargo's Souls, and it's started to really slow down in some spots as soon as I got into hardmode. Being in the jungle or hallow brings my FPS down to around 15, even when there isn't anything else onscreen.

Be wary of this mod as it seems to conflict with some calamity boss fights. My fps will go from 120 to 24 fps on certain attacks even after configuring. Sometimes the entire bossfights are around 24 fps. Also after i deleted the mod my fps is still higher than 60 fps.

why is my fps still sped up after not having the mod anymore?

@xunyan_ True Melee weapons, also from Calamity, don't work with Luxor's Gift. Only Melee weapons work. True Melee weapons have no projectile (as they're melee weapons with no projectile, so the Ice Blade wouldn't count), so it would be a bit overpowered to allow them to fire the Gift and give them a ranged option that they inherently shouldn't have.

Mod is good despite, what I have to assume are, scare-mongering comments/threads. Easily the best solution for my purposes.

So...i have two friends playing with me we have 0 issues but only one of them have some micro freeze happening kinda randomly he set up the frame skip off and he have limited his fps to 165 (his monitor have this) but both of us have 144, could be something related to it ?

@68x That did work, however, deinstalling the mod uncapped the fps again. Turning frameskip on / to subtle seems to fix the uncapped fps and sprite flickering.

This mightve also just been me being dumb and not noticing frameskip was responsible for limiting the fps in Terraria, and that 60 fps isnt enforced by the game automatically. If thats the case, then thats on me.

To fix the game, follow these steps:
enable mod
reload
go to mod config (cog icon)
Limit fps On
FPS Limit 60
everything else off
