@AzrealPlays2 @I_y_D Okay, think I've found a way to fix Tardigrade mod compatibility! Briefly tested Catato and they could take multiple hits (weirdly they seemed to have more like 4-5 lives instead of 9, but this was also the case for me with Balance Mod off). Let me know if there's still any issues there.

having it removed is fine, but i feel like it could just scale with melee and have bonus stat of something like gaining +1 harvesting on killing x amount of enemies, like ethereal weapons, or giving you +1 harvesting if you kill x amount of enemies with one attack, like how dwarf works. or something else probably more creative that you could have in mind, the consumable healing thing sounds fun. i'd d be fine with whatever, honestly just like having another melee option with the support tag. wouldn't mind it having bonus damage against enemies below x% health. not a priority though, everything else in the mod is great.

Is there a way to add a config that can readd the Sickle and readjust some of the other changes, to make it more tailored to the user's liking? I know there's a Mod Options menu mod for things like that.

@Bert Sampson Currently I'm happy with it simply being removed from the game — I don't want any weapon to directly scale with Harvesting because it's just too inherently problematic to have damage output and economy so directly entwined. If an interestingly unique route comes to mind and I have time to test it, then it's still possible it'll come back.

(Scaling with the 'Consumable Healing' stat was one cute possibility; probably a little too discreet, but I might try it sometime.)

@AzrealPlays2 That would be ideal. Definitely up for code suggestions if anyone knows a good way to implement it to ignore self-damage instead; last time I looked at it I couldn't figure out a way to code it that way, alas.

I think there's still the issue of certain characters that rely on Tardigrades rather than health (mainly Cat from Patamods) dying in one hit despite shields.

It might just be better Tardigrade ignore self-damage items, instead of the 2+ damage requirement.

Okay, had a chance to fix this - streamed this afternoon with no crashes or other issues. Let me know if anyone still finds conflicts with the new update.

(There are a few minor things like the update formatting screwing up some character/item text displays slightly which I'll look into, but hopefully nothing big?)

Playing one-armed with Flaming Fist (or how is it called) game crashes when I enter the shop.

Every second time this mod causes to fail mod loading. It says "unexpected error". I removed all other mods, and it always happens. Restart helps, but it's frustrating that I need to start game twice every time.

Brick change should be "don't break if it's your last weapon". Useful outside the first wave, not OP at all, will help with fatal RNG on "only bricks" runs.

I'm getting failures to load mods while launching with this installed sometimes. Restarting usually fixes it though. Modlist is BalanceMod, CurseIndicator, SmartPickupRadius and SortedInventory

I believe the incompatibility with Improved Tooltips can easily be solved. DarkTwinge is changing the function signature of the init function which means nothing else can ever extend the reroll button. Creating a member variable and setting it instead should make it work.

It seems to me that this mod conflicts with Improved Tooltips. When choosing a boost when increasing the level on a roll, instead of the price, it simply writes 123, which is why it does not show what chance and, most importantly, what the price of the roll is:Burn:

@I_y_D That's most likely correct and on my end. Dunno when my life will be stable again, but if I have a chance to work on this again I'll see if I can find a different way to implement it to instead block self-damage effects specifically.

My prediction is that tardigrade no longer used when you take 1 damage, and monsters on first levels deal 1 damage, which kills the character.

Hi. Not sure should I ask you or Patamods author. But when both mods are active, Cat character from Patamods dies in 1 hit, while it should nullify first 8 hits (survive first 8 deaths).

Hey! Purchasing the bone dice causes the game to crash for me. I've eliminated my other mods and the issue still occurs. This is in coop.

@Prediction Glad you like it! I still find Fairy really strong in most cases; I still buy it maybe 3/4ths of the time I see it, and generally still consider it stronger than Sad Tomato (which isn't a bad item). As always I'll keep monitoring and considering tweaks, tho.

Absolutely loved this balance mod, what a great work from the author!
There's one personal suggestion here, I think Fairy has been overtuned on its downside effect, maybe it could be changed to only applying -2 Max HP per tier IV item?

@Inquisition I change the numbers for Bone Dice, but not the code for how it works. Most likely a conflict outside of Balance Mod, tho could still be a multi-mod issue. (Also a small chance recent base-game performance updates caused an issue there?)

Hey I noticed the reroll dice that have % chance to -1 hp and to +1% damage weren't working in coop today. I've got a couple mods going so I am not sure if you've touched it or not.

@CheezBallz It's often going to be difficult for significant overhaul/content mods to work together. I can't investigate half a dozen different possibilities here: If you narrow it down to only running Balance Mod and one other main mod where it's still having issues, I can look into it and see if it can be addressed from my end.

@snakesinabin Oh this is interesting, because I use Advanced Stats fine without issue. So it looks like the problem is the full combination of Balance Mod + Advanced Stats + Improved Tooltips?? (Also appears the rerolls still cost normal amounts despite showing "123".)

Quite the oddity, I'll try to look into it more when I get a chance and see if there's anything I can do on my end. I guess for now folks can use _either_ Advanced Stats or Improved Tooltips with BM but not both?

@DarkTwinge aside from Balance , I'm using improved tooltips, show enemy and tree status, PB reminder, advanced stats, B&W reminder, revamped icons, mod control panel and mod options.

@snakesinabin What other mods do you have installed? I just tested and level-up reroll costs appear to behaving completely normally on my end, so I'm guessing it's an overlapping conflict with another mod.

Latest update to the mod causes an issue where the stat re-roll on level up always costs 123 as opposed to scaling, disabling the balance mod solves it and it wasn't happening yesterday so today's update must be the issue
