It does not affect performance at all. If you think dependencies are NATRUALLY BAD, then you're dumb. But if you have trauma around dependencies because authors are bad, then that's on the author. You can't just generalize the idea of requiring dependencies as inherent evil. It's not.
Morcillia: I'm not sure how you would fix that. If you haven't already, I'd try asking in the tModLoader discord server

It does not seem to be able to update.
Unsubbing and resubbing doesn't work, manually updating in the modloader doesn't either.
