Yesterday, I noticed a huge DMCA drama with the reach odst and marine addons? I was wondering if you have a backup plan (like an archive of sort) incase those addons get taken down?

Dude I don’t think you fully understand what the copyright rules are. you may wanna re read them. Cuz your gonna get banned by valve for false dmca claims. But hey if that’s how you wanna go out keep digging the hole deeper.

All that had to be done was recompile a map without baking our content in it, which causes file conflicts and overrides our content even when we update it. It's very much not "our problem" that you go out of your way to create these issues and then decide to abuse the DMCA system when your map is taken down for being the one in violation.

Reuploading content violates the steam workshop TOS. Regardless of who’s content it originally was, I have every right to DMCA your reupload. Read the workshop TOS.

The Xbox game content rules does specify “reverse engineering”. But that applies to reverse engineering the game itself for content creation, such as hacking. All of the current extraction tools are built off of official editing kits released by 343, Bungie, and Gearbox. Microsoft in extension.

There was a gmod update about a year ago or something. And it basically updated the location where GMAs are stored. Addons created before the update still can be found in the addons folder. But new addons are found under >SteamLibrary/Workshop/Content/4000

Can't find the GMA file for this in the addons folder. Is it under a different name or located elsewhere?

make sure you don't have the old version of my reach marines/odsts. And also make sure you aren't subscribed to that Halo NPC addon pack that uses a lot of my old models. They conflict.

Great work on the addon, the only issue i have noticed is that some of the textures appear for like the neck and pouches and some other smaller things appear to be off. I'm not really sure how to describe it, but like the pouches on the odst chest piece looks like grey rocks lol
