does it work in multiplayer words? Or if I play with mods I'll need to configure resources each time?

An idea I had around the idea of this mod:

First, you'd have to internally cache a randomly-generated new character with a random name. Thankfully Terraria has a random character generator already - you just need to splice in a name generator to finish off the character...

Now, after you die, you respawn as this newly generated character. In order to return to your original character's body (and use the swap menu), you have to build one of several one-use items in progression to be able to select a body to return to. Depending on which body you played on the most in a playthrough, you might not want to return to your original death, but maybe your longest-lived body to return the contents of their inventory... And there are a limited number of these items you can ever craft and use in a playthrough, so you have limited options.

An alternative to making a hardcore character IG but maybe needs more flushing out as an idea. Just thought I'd drop it in the comments lol

if you will swap a player whose map in the current world was undiscovered and then you'll switch to any other player, the map would be also be undiscovered, even if on some player you had the map discovered. but if you will swap the player who had the map fully discovered, all other players to which you will swap will also have the fully discovered map in the current world.

this mod's marked as "developer's choice" even though it isn't even updated to the last tmodloader's version. ridiculous.

works fine in single player, but if I try it in mutiplayer I get stuck in a loop of switching characters an have to force close the game

so if a hardcore character dies then you can load a new character and keep going? can we pick up the old character's loot?

excuse me for asking here, but is there a mod to do world swap without going through the main menu?

now we just need npcs that do nothing you can swap control to. multiplayer for singleplayer!!

oh now this is useful for builder worlds so you can have a themed person who can live in the world but then ya got the build/other maxed pcs who you just use to make the world/get it into the place

Small change I'd like to see in the future: quick swap keys that you can bind to specific characters. I wanna make a character with 4 different forms at some point.

Just wanna comment how I really like this mod, I play a bit weirdly by essentially juggling 4 players at a time in a single world! Sounds sad saying it that way but its fun playing with multiple classed characters like never before.
