Mod has been updated to Inferals/4.2 patch. Thanks all for your patience while I was busy!
cybrxkhan  [autor] 25 SEP a las 22:32
@Velocikitty Thanks for checking on that. It seems like it might be a vanilla behavior then.
Senko 25 SEP a las 17:55
Come to think of it, it could be that the lack of other empires was the cause. Huh.
Senko 25 SEP a las 17:53
With just the mod:

https://i.imgur.com/yr4bCjs.jpeg (This is the two races in the game. No other AI were enabled.)

No Mod:

Maybe its just a stellaris thing then? Huh. Interesting.
Senko 25 SEP a las 10:39
Can't really test it without someone else present. But the second I toggled it off, was when it fixed it.

We weren't even using anything that should have also modified that file.
cybrxkhan  [autor] 24 SEP a las 21:55
@Velocikitty Does that issue happen when you are using *only* this mod and no other mods, not even minor cosmetic mods? Try testing that first, usually the method of turning off mods from a mod list isn't actually reliable for figuring out what mods cause problems unless you test those individual mods in isolation too. Anyhow, I only change one file which shouldn't affect anything related to where empires spawn. It sounds like this might be some other mod maybe having an incompatibility with this mod?
Senko 24 SEP a las 17:27
(I haven't had a chance to play the 4.1 patch)

But we had a odd problem, where NESB would cause players not to spawn near each other. Second we turned that off in the mod list, we returned to spawning together.

Again, dunno if that had been fixed in the current version or not.

Mod has been updated to the newest patch 4.1. Thanks all for your patience!
Ramos.C 15 SEP a las 5:26
Thank you @Martok & cybrxkhan
cybrxkhan  [autor] 17 AGO a las 19:54
@Ramos.C I don't think the current version will be compatible with 3.14. I've found some old code and uploaded a version that might be compatible with 3.14 here, you'll need to manually install it: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/0oaitahh8yayrad3uwmtv/No-Ethics-Spawn-Bias-for-3.14.zip?rlkey=09dvywe95nottee55dat4k7cd&st=wab1nfoc&dl=0
Ramos.C 17 AGO a las 6:30
Hi, where Can we found the 3.14 version? Or is this backwards compatible to 3.14? Thanks
Ghost Fox (ΘΔ) 29 MAY a las 12:46
@Nhovah
Almost certainly, but it's absolutely not achievement-compatible.
Nhovah 29 MAY a las 11:12
Is this mod Ironman compatible?
cybrxkhan  [autor] 27 MAY a las 19:10
@captain403 Thanks for confirming and helping with figuring this out!
captain403 27 MAY a las 18:45
Aye, that appears to have fixed it. Cheers.
cybrxkhan  [autor] 27 MAY a las 18:39
@captain403 Just occurred to me that the devs have been releasing a crapton of hotfixes and updates recently, so I just checked and turns out they changed a few lines of the code in the only file I touch lol. I've just updated that file to account for their changes, which appears to have done something related to robot pops.

Hopefully the fix I just uploaded works. Try unsubscribing and resubscribing from the mod to make sure it updates properly, and hopefully that will take care of the issue. Thanks for your patience and help!
captain403 27 MAY a las 18:14
Discussion about it here, leading me to discover the problem. https://steamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/app/281990/discussions/0/596276031230344266/
captain403 27 MAY a las 18:10
Tried to run a spiritualist Empire. The materialist attraction was strong enough to completely suppress ant spiritualist attraction. If I did everything I could to suppress the mats, the supposed attraction between the 2 ethics equalised, but the mats ignored that and continued to grow.
captain403 27 MAY a las 18:03
Yes, it happens when it's just this mod. No mods at all, it doesn't happen. Active just this again, it happens.
cybrxkhan  [autor] 27 MAY a las 17:55
@captain403 Does the issue happen when you're running only this mod and no other mods? i.e., have you tried testing with this mod and disabling all other mods, even "minor" or cosmetic mods, to be safe?
captain403 27 MAY a las 2:51
Ok, really odd bug to report. It seems this mod is forcing materialist attraction in the player empire. Process of new games with/without this mod points to this mod.
cybrxkhan  [autor] 23 MAY a las 22:48
@Exodus You're welcome!

@Nyx I suspect it might cause issues.
Nyx (She/Her) 23 MAY a las 16:43
Will this still work for 3.14?
Exodus 21 MAY a las 23:27
Works in 4.0 Biogenesis.

Thanks for the update!
cybrxkhan  [autor] 8 MAY a las 20:55
@MaiaOfMorgoth Thanks for the heads up! I've removed mentions of them per your request.
MaiaOfMorgoth 8 MAY a las 13:44
My (LittleIsaac) compatch for the older versions are olde and moldy and now hidden so you may want to remove those from your description. may or may not publish another in the future but I did those years ago and I don't rly keep up with this game anymore. love your mod as always
cybrxkhan  [autor] 7 MAY a las 14:21
@Hawk No prob!
Hawk 6 MAY a las 21:29
Thank you for all the work. I looked at the code you mentioned in the mod description and couldn't figure out how to mess with it, so as with your other work, the mod is greatly appreciated.
cybrxkhan  [autor] 6 MAY a las 21:21
Mod has been updated to 4.0. Thanks all for your patience!
Commander Silver Shield 6 MAY a las 2:59
@cybrxkhan I was just letting you know about specific issues that need fixed.
Hawk 6 MAY a las 2:47
Hope this gets updated soon. I started a game as the United Nations to try out features and sure enough every single one of my neighbors were ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ making any federation style gameplay virtually impossible. Either it's still there or I got exceptionally unlucky.
cybrxkhan  [autor] 5 MAY a las 18:27
@Commander Silver Shield: This mod has not been updated to the newest patch yet.
Commander Silver Shield 5 MAY a las 10:14
This mod is removing all but one of the preset empires in the start screen and preventing the selection of most ethics in the empire creation menu.
cybrxkhan  [autor] 12 MAR a las 4:27
@theDehumanized This mod doesn't make any changes related to the rate of Hive Minds spawning. Sounds like really bad RNG on your part if I had to guess
theDehumanized 11 MAR a las 13:02
I don't know if this is the cause of me surrounded by hive empires , anyone?
cybrxkhan  [autor] 13 NOV 2024 a las 21:49
@Blackouto000 Probably would still need a compatch, yeah. Compatches for this mod are maintained by other people so I don't know if there's any up to date compatches.
Blackouto000 13 NOV 2024 a las 18:37
Does this mod still need a compatch for Ethics and Civics Classic? Because it hasn't been updated in a while.
Celador 13 NOV 2024 a las 0:17
@cybrxkhan I see, thanks. Had to give up to a least hostile empire, didn't lose anything, now they are giving me resources, and cheaper tech, and I owe them nothing. God bless paradox and their weird game mechanics.
cybrxkhan  [autor] 13 NOV 2024 a las 0:10
@Celador In vanilla, if you are a certain ethics, you are neither likelier nor less likelier to be next to certain personalities or ethics. It's just that in vanilla, Militaristic ethos is likelier overall for AI (regardless of what you yourself are), and Xenophile and Pacifist are less likely for AI (regardless of what you yourself are). My mod makes it so Militaristic, Xenophile, and Pacifist appears at the same rate as other ethoses. If you happen to be stuck with a lot of militarist xenophobes when using my mod, that's just bad luck of the draw.
Celador 12 NOV 2024 a las 1:11
Just to clarify - if my empire is xenophobe and militarist, is it normal that I am surrounded by militarist and xenophobes as well? I only have more ai personalities and no ethics spawn bias. I was thinking I'd get less hostile empires if I am hostile?
cybrxkhan  [autor] 29 OCT 2024 a las 21:40
Mod has been updated to 3.14!
sleepy 7 OCT 2024 a las 8:59
Great mod!
cybrxkhan  [autor] 12 SEP 2024 a las 23:06
Mod has been updated to 3.13/Vela! No major changes were needed to update thankfully. Let me know if there are any issues with the new version.

Thanks all for your patience and continued support!
cybrxkhan  [autor] 11 SEP 2024 a las 0:49
Hello all, I am aware of the new update but have been busy this week. I'll try to get an update for my Stellaris mods out within the next couple days. I cannot guarantee if the mods still work with the new vanilla patch without any update needed, but feel free to try at your own risk. Thanks all for your understanding!
cybrxkhan  [autor] 13 JUL 2024 a las 13:21
Minor update is now up, it just forwards some tiny changes in the 00_ethics.txt file in the recent vanilla patch
cybrxkhan  [autor] 16 JUN 2024 a las 20:46
@ifti The two mods don't directly interact with each other, but because this mod makes the ethoses more even, it may slightly reduce or increase the chances various personalities appear - it shouldn't really be a noticeable difference in my opinion. For load order with these two, I don't think it matters.
多久 16 JUN 2024 a las 20:11
How does this interact with your mod "More AI Personalities"? Do those new ones just maintain equal weighting with the vanilla ones? Which one should be first in the load order?
cybrxkhan  [autor] 10 MAY 2024 a las 1:27
@Kurisu gaming: I don't maintain the other patches so it'll be up to the other modders if they're still active and interested in maintaining that.
Kurisu gaming 10 MAY 2024 a las 0:08
sorry if this has been mentioned before, but when used with ethics and civics bug branch it for some reason caused the gestalt ethic to cost 3 points which breaks how bug branch does its gestalt ethics, I was wondering if there is a possible patch for this as the only patches listed aren't for bug branch
