You just have a audiofile that has the same name in the same directory, if it loops make sure you add markers.

to actually know how the folders are like set up, just open the games vpk files to get the structure.

as a side note i should probably update this

Hello, i wanted to know how you replace the sounds.
I want to create an addon that replaces game sounds with Plants Vs Zombies sounds.
Example: UI Click would be changed to planting a plant sound.
Please help

Because source actually doesn't have carpet sounds, Black Mesa added the ability for carpet floors to use their own sounds

so that means it cannot be replaced meaning it'll just play the SAME sound from both distances, far and close? :steamfacepalm:

The Spas-12 is hardcoded to not have a distant sound, and thus impossible to add one, if i forced one it would just play both the distant and close sound because of how distant sounds are implemented, this is also a carryover from HL2.

Could you make the weapons sounds separate from this? It would conflict with the weapon and explosion sound replacement mods I use. I would have subscribed immediately if that were already the case though.

2,059 arent complaining about problems, do this thing called snd_restart in the console or reload your game, if it still dosent work you need to manually remove the gma file from your workshop folder and then re-sub
