I would like to share that I’ve been picked up by The Indie Stone to work on the vanilla game. Meanwhile, PlentyT has been dedicated to his own developments for some time prior. With both of us now focused on new and exciting stuff, future updates to our mods are uncertain.

That said, we are giving full permission to anyone who wishes to remake or continue our maps under the same name, you have our blessing to do that. We may return to update these mods one day, but for now, our priorities have shifted toward new things.

Thank you all so much for playing and supporting our work, it truly means the world to us.

@tobyfox2002 If someone wants to take the map, update it to Build 42, or fix some issues and re-upload it, we’re totally cool with that. The only catch is we’ve lost the original files, so we can’t hand those over. Someone would have to do some big-brain work to rip the map.

That goes for any of our maps, really. We’ve always been fine with people doing whatever they want with our stuff as long as it’s not just a straight re-upload with no changes. If you want to tweak, improve, or build on it, go for it!

@PlentyT If someone else were to take over the map, would your team object? If full credit was given? This is quite literally my favorite map of the game, not to mention it has some of the best assets, the 1 way barriers, the lightsaber toys that actually work, the ribbons and posters.. And the amazing road, that is partially blocked that is an entire server project to clear.

can you please split this into two mods. my server just refuses to load the new version and loads the legacy, even when I have it disabled

@YahagiHonoka Only use one at a time, the legacy is just the older version of the map for people that liked it before the re-design

Brother, when I use your mod, there is an error conflict displayed in the mod map. The main error files are Pitstop and Pitstop Legacy. Should we disable the latter mod?

AuthenticZ is broken as far as I'm aware, should maybe remove it as a dependency

I feel like I'm the only one having issues with mod. It works as legacy but I can't get the rest of it to be there it just becomes open road and forest. I miss the congestion and more shops. Anyone else having this issue?

Just wanted to say thank you, favorite b41 map! Can't wait for b42 update.

@✪Sr.Pan The game has mechanisms to limit the number of zombies on screen. When you clear an area and leave, the game may spawn additional zombies that we're limited before. Additionally, the zombie migration option allows zombies from adjacent cells to move into the cleared area. In map-making, we can only influence the number of zombies that spawn via the heat map, but we don’t have control over other spawn settings. If you disable respawn, it will also be disabled on our map.

Yeah I try turning off the respawn and they are still keep spawning over and over again T-T

@✪Sr.Pan - that's awesome that you love it! It's a pretty dense populated map, not sure what would cause the "respawn". it's likely the zombies regrouped outside the city and are filtering/resettling into the areas you thought were cleared.

I love this mod and the city style, but Im having a problem with the zombie spawn just in Pitstop, they keep spawning :c

thanks man! i appreciate that info a lot. I'm playing a very hard game with tons of sprinter zombies and trying to work my way into louisville from that side, so it is relevant to me.

@Viper Yeah it was just a hidden little path leading through the woods to a hidden base spot. It was requested by a streamer called Klean and because he helped us a lot with testing during the early days it was a little nod to him.

what about the mall? is it still there, still mostly vanilla?

@Viper It's another hideout but we may not continue the LV one through B42. It was for Klean and is essentially another abandoned Coffee Co

regarding those two cells: i've discovered the "Black Coffee Co" which is clearly a "black site" of sorts. I haven't made it over to the west end of the two cells, which i think includes the grand ohio mall or whatever, so i'd really like to have some knowledge of what's being changed over there. god forbid i get over there and discover the mall is gone lmao

of course the ingame map is no help, it just appears vanilla

so, sorry if this is a spoiler of sorts, but since b41 is finally giving way to b42, can you now explain the two cells up by Louisville that this map mysteriously alters?

For some reason the weapons shop and the gas shop near muldraught road isn't appearing. Any reason for that?

Should still probably remove some since theres a fine line between difficulty and tedium and this crosses it more then a few steps. It's just tedious after a point with so many

@Prysh One of the points of the map is to serve as a difficult roadblock between Rosewood and Muldraugh, aiming to make the game more challenging for seasoned players who find it easy to move back and forth between the towns. Obviously, this approach might not be for everyone but it was one of the main reasons we made the map

Too many roadblocks takes too much effort to clear them. I suggest reducing the number of obstacles in future versions.

Map is fantastic, looking forward to seeing what changes you have in mind for b42. Keep it up lads.

@Lonely Knightess We have a lot of changes planned which we will work on when B42 is out. We are aware of the texture issues and will resolve this when we return to modding. In regards to the meme items we put in we will be making them a separate entity to the map. You will still be able to get these items on the map but it will require an additional provided mod/option. This is so Pitstop can feel closer to Vanilla as it was intended originally.

@Lonely Knightess When it comes to weapons, it varies. Some are designed to complement the buildings we place them in, but ultimately, we created these maps for our own enjoyment. While there might be aspects that some people don't like, we're always open to people making edits to suit their preferences, as long as it's not just a clone upload we're cool with it. Regarding the image/file sizes, we'll certainly look into that when we return to the mod to get it working for B42. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

It should be noted that images above 2048x2048 can cause memory leaks, I sorted every image file in the 400+ mods I have downloaded by size and the top of the list is a bunch of Pitstop meme item textures in both file size and aspect ratio.

Why does this include things like a Pulse Rifle and Future Shotgun item?

Hi, for your B42 update, if you still planning to, please separate the extra items from the base map and have them as different mod id so people who don't want them can choose not to enable them. Thanks.

A Real pain in the you know what if You want to go from Rosewood to Muldraugh but nevertheless it is a good Mod
