Again, if I don't have the files, there's nothing anyone can do. If I did have the files, it would depend on who they were and what their plans were. If I gave them ASA files that wouldn't work because I've made countless changes (bug fixes, new features, new models, new dinos, etc)

that's sad, besides that, would you allow someone else to un-officialy update your mods? i heard there's a group that wants to keep ASE modding alive by remaking and keeping updated current-old mods, maybe if they ask you and allow them they could take care of it and maybe they could even let you decide things around their remake/update

This mod is currently Pre-A (afaik) as it hasn't been updated in a while. I do not know if I still have the ASE files. I get that many would love for me to update the ASE mod, but personally I don't want to try to balance both ASE and ASA. ARK isn't very optimized and with all the changes I've made to the ASA variant of the mod, just swapping stuff into ASE wouldn't work.

you may not even see this but after reading the comments below me, if you find a way to, just update the mod for pre-A, just make a last update for this mod remaking the creatures and leave it like that, even tho they aren't bad they kind of mismatch with other mods or even the game itself, since basically all modders are moving to ASA you could give this mod a final touch and atleast make it better for the people that keeps playing ASE

Could be either case (on my end it feels like a mix of different dev team + major update). For ASA I feel like if they really want people to buy and play ASA they would not even revive the servers temporarily and just delist ASE from future buyers and kill normal multiplayer like with GTA San Andreas classic.

Will never touch ASA though if that was their intent, I play on a budget pc and picky when games can cost a months worth of groceries.. + I loved my low polygon dinos whenever the game is still loading hahaha

Some think it was intended. So that it would encourage more people to move to ASA. It could also be that they didn't care if mods were broken. Or it just could be that pretty much any major update almost always does this anyways so it was bound to happen

Mhm, good idea. + I could imagine that having all 3 games and their dev kits in one pc would be too much too for a solo developer. What a shame tbh that the new devs somehow broke mod compatibility with their updates when the other mod maps that became official worked just fine. There can also be a poll I suppose if the few remaining players would prefer to see this mod on Pre-A or Post-A if the mod were to be updated with new additions again.

I mean, I could potentially rename this [Legacy] to let people know. But realistically, I can't and won't have 3 versions of this mod. Pre-A, Post-A and ASA. I work full time and while Pre/Post A might be somewhat easy ish to maintain, as they won't get updates, I don't want to have to have 3 dev kits. Plus there is the potential that I no longer have the ASE files.

I am currently just observing the situation to see if post aquatica might be compatible with pre-A mods. But I was thinking this version can be renamed to "legacy" for those who stay in pre-A and only keep it for world compatibility while the post-A could be a new workshop mod I suppose

The way it works is either a mod can work for aquatica or for pre aquatica, not both. I guess in theory I could have two mods, but that isn't feasible bc then I would need the ASA kit, pre aquatica ASE kit and the aquatica ASE kit

They finally gave into the demands of the pre-aquatica branch staying which is great but. If this mod were to ever update how will the compatibility work between pre-aquatica and post-aquatica? Or more so, will future possible dinos be only for pre-aquatica or only post-aquatica?

He and I were co modders and friends, and his name was listed. He asked that it was removed. With the Aquatica update, it broke all the mods. The kit has now updated, but then you have to be on the Aquatica version (and I'm sure that has loads of issues too)

The Original modder that got this mod to even work "Firesolved" was never given any credit, so doubt there will be any updates. :gearthumbsdown:

as far as I know, its not really something thats anyones fault. they are modded creatures. I also dont know how the transmutator works to have corrected that (and I can't really go back and fix it)

hi! was wondering if it's intentional that the S+ transmutator (from a popular mod) doesnt seem to be able to swap your modded creatures between variants? a server i enjoy has your mod, and several guys from it (dearc, inostrancevia for example) are some of my all time favourites!

Do you have the new Aquatica DLC/ most recent update? As stated above, no mods work if you have those. You need to roll back to the pre-Aquatica update

I am playing Modded ARK for the first time and was playing fine with a few other mods downloaded, (This one is awesome btw), and I restarted the game randomly, but when I loaded back in, the mod was not in the Active Mod list, I logged out to check what had happened and it had removed itself from the Active Mod list. So I relogged to confirm the issue and every time i restart the game, the mod removes itself from the list. So ive been trying now for a few hours different ways to install the mod and different locations to extract it into to see which would work, and none have. Just wanted to see if anyone else had ever had that problem and could give any advice. Thanks.

Yes, this is known. I talk about it in the discord (linked here and on all the mod pages) but that is because the ASA dev kit has not updated with the spawns. I can't do anything about it until it updates

Hi, sorry to come here but I can't comment in the ASA mod. In Ragnarok, the mod's creatures are only spawning in the desert. They don't spawn in other areas of the map. Do you know if it's a bug in the map or the mod? Certain creatures, like the Cryodrakon, for example, don't spawn at all since they only appear in the snow. And that's happening to most of the mods, all of the creatures are only spawning in the desert biome, if there´s no natural spawn from the creature in the desert, they don´t spawn at all.

Are you on single player or a server?
If you are single player, disabling hibernation does fix a lot of spawn issues.
Otherwise, you can use ini to tweak spawns. Which map is the issue?

Hello, i don't know if it's just me, but I am encountering a particular issue with the Yangchuanosaurus dinosaur, which, in my case, has an abnormally high spawn rate in the Arctic biome, ruining the gameplay experience. If anyone knows how to fix this, I would appreciate a solution. Otherwise, congratulations to the mod creator for providing exceptional work.

That's more of an ark issue. If you load my mod first, then you get my seeds and not those seeds. No way around it

i think this mod has a compatibillity issues with additional creatures 2, you cant harvest strawberry seeds for some reason when this mod is enabled

In the discord you can see the many TLCs that the creatures have received. I hope to one day bring them into ASE too

It's an old review, and all of the issues have long been addressed. I'd recommend you try the mod, its fun and full of a nice variety of creatures!

I did recently get a 4tb ssd so i could in theory get back into ASE. I have the files (I think, I hope they aren't corrupt). If I did mod again on ASE, I think I'd just update the creatures that had TLCs in ASA and add those into ASE.

Issue is a matter of time. I only have so much, and I have a full time job. So right now, i dont know or have an answer

Theoretically: If someone sent money your way to make/commission a new model for ASE, could you find it in your heart to download the kit again? I love the effort you put into your work but I can’t upgrade my server for my friends, due to hardware issues. You can say no, but I figured I’d ask.

Yes you can use this mod with that mod. I know some people have used Nasutoceratops vs Savage Acro. Tho, like any boss, its best to breed many strong creatures. And many of my creatures could work
