Installed mod and researched the tech ingame, but it doesn't show the FE in the machining table?

That shouldn't be the case, the damage definition the FE Turret uses is set to not harm health and only acts on fire objects. You may have some other mod that is "tweaking" damage definitions otherwise.

According to the internal conflict log, one of my colonist was "viciously extinguished" by an FE turret. I love it.

That is essentially what the FE is, it fires explosive projectiles of firefoam.

Note if converting from V1.0 to V1.1 and you haven't flushed your config data for the mod then you will receive an error.

(FE has been slightly revised for V1.1)
