Nvm I figured out how to edit the files myself and added bone polishing, and dog training, as well as adding the hiyeanas muskox and elasmotherium into the fauna. pretty sure cheese making is a given as there is no tech research required for it only unlocking goat domestication.

any chance of an update on this to reflect the addition of polished bone tools, the second tier of the dog domestication tech, cheese making, and the addition of the cave hiyena to the fauna?

this mod is one of my favorites but the game has come a long way since its creation and i would love to play it again with the new techs and animals.

Am I an idiot? How do you even survive the very beginning? No skins means everyone dies of cold real quick, so you have to hunt early and get skin dryer and then either tent or crafter. I can't survive long enough to build either. No one in the initial village even has a knife to butcher so you have to wait for those 3 other people to come.

Hmm. I have unlocked pottery. But now I can't remember if it was unlocked when I met the criteria. (I have less cured meat now). I will go and kill some more things, and let you know. Hopefully by then I will manage to unlock archery as well (another which I think I can but it's not cooperating).

I had a look into this. The Funerary event is linked to stones too.
But my guess is that you haven't yet unlocked pottery.

Please have a look at the conditions for the milestone and the event, that unlocks stone_polishing.

Era: Mesolithic
Stone: 15
Flint axe, spear, pick: 15 each
Cured meat: 75

I was really enjoying this. I was trying to achieve stone polishing - I had all the stone, axes, picks and spears. I was just waiting to get my 75th piece of meat cured. It happened, the message came up to tell me that I had unlocked funerary rituals! I checked again, and yes, I met all the requirements. I then checked to see if it was just a weird typo, but no, I couldn't build flint sickles but I could build funeral mounds. So now I am severely limited as to what I can do, because I need 10 flint sickles to unlock grain processing.
I can see 2 possibilities: the most likely (I think) is that the wrong achievement has been attached to the milestone. The second is that there is a different set of requirements for stone polishing to that given and that if I keep creating lots of everything and killing everything in sight I will eventually achieve it.
Please help!

So what exactly do Buhds and Nahkia do? I've had Budhs track 2 young mammoths one time, but that was it. I've not seen Nahkia do anything for me

:D Gordo made the beginning extra hard. Read trough the tips discussion if you struggle. After your camp is setup it should be a very smooth experience.

But let me ask, what would be the changes in the easier version?

Is anyone else not able to progress past paleolithic milestones despite having all the required buildings and items. I have 20 flint axes, bone harpoons, and pickaxes, 50+ slings, flint spears, and leather tunics and 6 food dryers and totems with a population of 53.

Ronald - I'm so sorry! I really hope you don't know what I'm talking about and that I only ruined it for my self instead of for everybody else but I think I accidentally messed up your mod! Didn't think it was possible - was trying to learn how to upload mine but it didn't work so was trying many things including using your mode because I thought if I have problem within the code then you surely don't. Now all the milestones are messed up for me in save game that was your mod. Can someone please let me know if you see the milestone in this game as they were or did I screw up big time

i think you just have to store them. it uses the same valuees as the mini window for ressources.

hmm... it seems that I don't actually have to store it, got drying racks when just butchered a rhino so I guess the numbers on the mini window have to be correct at the same time but things do not need to be in the store to count as stored?

guys, do things have to be stored all at the same time to unlock the milestone? Or does it add up like if I stored 10, then they used it, then I stored another 5 does it still counts as 15 that I need for a milestone?

I've just noticed this too... I'd rather you fixed it and I had to start again than getting to a point where I can no longer continue because of a fault in the map. Just patch it and everyone will get over it.

When I found this error, some 80 players were already playing and, to correct it, some trees would change places. If this happens, all saves files are worthless. Not to disturb, the map ran out of mines. :steamsad:

Played the scenario. Interesting concept.

The only issue I have with it is there no mines at all, not even flint ones. Once I got past 100 pop I exhausted all nearby flint spots and had no means to get stone tools and weapons. No knives/bifaces = no meat/skins. Trader doesn't help with the demand.
