So far no conflicts! (Although I am not running any HD remastered compiles, I just replace individual elements of the game as I go).

I like how this mod makes the water clearer without affecting the original color grading of the water which keeps those water sections "legible/distinct" if that makes sense.

I do experience some stuttering here and there, although that may be due to other mods in combination of this one. 9/10 !!!!

@t626 It depends on if that mod changes any of the "water_*.vmt" files in the "materials/liquids" folder. If it does, then you would have to manually edit/merge up to 29 different files, depending on which ones the other mod changes.

It's been over two years since I made this mod, so I might not remember correctly, but I think the only changes I made to each file was to the "$fogend" line. I no longer have the tools installed needed to decompile, compile or view the mod file, so I can't verify this with the original files.

To make the mods compatible *if* they modify the same files:
1. Decompile both of the mods.
2. Copy and replace the $fogend line in the affected files of the other mod, with those of my mod.
3. Recompile the mod.

@Ananasa Anaso 94 To be honest I think its working now. I mean I need to play some other campaigns with a little deeper water. I will let you know if its actually working cause its hard to tell at times. If is not am sure is a minor thing.

@:::nowhere::: Could you post your graphics settings, I don't think they should affect the mod, but I can't help if i can't replicate the problem. I use low shader and effects, so that is not a problem.

Double check to make sure the mod is enabled and that there are no conflicts (in console). Also note that the mod doesn't make the water super clean, if it is clean enough to see a gas can (or other items) in the water, then it is working.

No, it is not compatible with those 2 mods. It will work with customs maps provided they use the water from the l4d2 maps, otherwise it will be normal water.

In response to the question about what differences this mod makes.
There is quite a difference while in-game, the test room comparison image highlights the changes the clearest. In the unmodded swamp it is impossible to see dead teammates in the water. With this mod, it is possible to see them faintly. It is like this for Dark Carnival and Hard Rain too.

New version v1.1 released to include the Death Toll Finale (which also affects The Parish's first map), it has slightly cleaner water than the other places to make up for the depth. Image included.
