Just published a little mod adding snowy weather for your 2 snowy towns on the Nexus
with links to them.
Please also upload Solitude Snow there too :-)
This is what I needed in addition to snowy Whiterun, since I just created an esp that adds snowy wheathers to Whiterun, Solitude and the tundra for COT :-)
Now I will have to subscribe, pack a 7z for NMM and unsubscribe, cause I manage my mods with NMM only :-P
(You could add it to "Whiterun Snow" on the Nexus as optional file and rename the headline
to "Whiterun and Solitude Snow".
Would be less effort than creating a new mod page there.)
Will keep it as favourite here though and rate it +1 :-)
The snowy weather in the docks area is fine. But inside the city ends up looking like Windhelm (Dark Gothic city) with the reduced lighting due to the arctic weather. So if you install Docks of Solitude with the Enhanced Solitude mod, you'll lose most of the great visual improvements the Enhanced Solitude mod provides. Is there some way to overwrite this i.e. make the Solitude city version load after the Solitude Docks mod in the load order?
If not, and/or you're considering adding weather to the snow version of Solitude, please consider the impact the reduced lighting weather effects would have on the non snow graphics of this mod.
Thanks again for the amazing makeover of Skyrim city holds and towns :)
While I prefer the non snow version of Solitude Enhanced, this is a kudos for providing the community with yet another ingenious mod!
On a similar note: the Solitude Docks mod changes the weather system in Solitude to make it snow. The reduced lighting from the Docks Solitude mod kills all the improvements to the city's ambiance and physical appeal. But while this is more realistic--given Solitude's northern latitude location--this significantly reduces the textures and atmosphere created by the non snow version of the Enhanced Solitude mod. So overall, the city becomes aesthetically unappealing. :\
