CCCanyon, Wait, what does "on the right" mean? I've been having trouble recently, but have no idea how to enable skins, some pointers would help

You have to enable skin in the options menu on the right and apply it to blocks.

It is a reskin.
But wooden poles, single and double blocks, logs skinned with any pack could not break in half. So about the durability it is in some sense true.
