British Railways Wagons
In 1948 the 'big four' railways companies in the UK (the GWR, LMS, LNER and SR) were nationalised to form British Railways (BR). Initially BR painted all freight wagons fitted with vacuum brakes bauxite (brown) and all freight wagons without vacuum brakes (i.e. hand brakes only) grey. This mod provides a number of BR vacuum brake fitted and unfitted open wagons.

5 versions of BR freight wagons:
BR 4-plank 'tube' open wagon without vacuum brakes, available 1948-1980
BR 4-plank 'tube' open wagon fitted with vacuum brakes, available 1948-2000
BR 5-plank open wagon without vacuum brakes, available 1948-1980
BR 5-plank open wagon fitted with vacuum brakes, available 1948-2000
BR 7-plank open wagon without vacuum brakes, available 1948-1980

These versions are 're-skins' (plus a few extras) of the freight vehicles within the 'GWR Open Waggons' mod by JK, which must be loaded as well as this mod. All credit to JK for the original mod which is being used with permission.

All wagon bodies are implemented as custom cargo loads to provide wagon body and cargo load variation. When fully loaded some cargo loads are covered with a tarpaulin.

Supports aging (dirt and rust), but no user colours (custom cargo loads do not support user colours).

Includes placeable asset versions (new or old, selectable cargo type and load level).

It's easier to understand history if it starts with one company. The explanation was easy to understand.The fourth photo really captures the atmosphere of that era. Thank you for the wonderful MOD.
