Changes the IK system to better articulate the legs.

This mod conflicts with YAML, and may or may not work with it.

Actually just tried that. Did another reinstall. Went so far as deleting everything in user/(user)/Appdata/MW5MERCS folders, deleted registry entries, deleted literally all remnants of the game off my PC and reinstalled everything fresh.

Still nothing, mech legs are always flat no matter the terrain, I give up.

Much appreciated, sorry I couldn't be of more help. The only other thing I can think of to do would be to delete the modlist.json in the mods folder and then re-enable all mods, or try downloading it from Nexus manually in case the download from workshop is getting corrupted.

If that's the case, I wish I knew how to make it work. My game still behaves like launch, and I don't run many mods, just simple, unintrusive things like travel cost 1k, colorized heat guage, your animation mod, and delayed deadlines.

And as I mentioned in my previous post, I even did a reinstall to make sure...

I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I appreciate all of your replies though, and your animation mod alone is still one of the best ones on the workshop, and it's not even close.

I added another picture for a better visual.

From my understanding the game initially did not ship with IK, but was added later on, but it was only 2 bone IK. So it technically has it, but it doesn't conform to the terrain very well because of the limited bone movement.

So, I just uninstalled and reinstalled the game to make sure, but with or without this mod installed makes no difference, the legs always animate as if they are on completely level ground, and have done so since I bought the game years ago.

AFAIK there is no base game IK, and never was, it was a point of contention on release, and prompted old mods like the one on NEXUS by Navid A1 (no longer works). So I guess what I am asking, is how the heck do I get the built in IK to enable?

I'm not suggesting you are wrong or anything, but there is clearly something going on here. MWO had IK enabled in beta (Legendary Founder, and I regret it) but it was removed when they added 2 more players to matches and killed the knockdowns feature, and hasn't been seen since.

You casually telling me it's already in the game so matter-of-factly is making me feel like I'm taking crazy pills or something.

No worries, to get this mod to work all you have to do is enable it in your modlist, and make sure it doesn't show any mod conflicts next to the mod.

There will still be some clipping just because of how the game detects collision between the terrain and the foot bones, but the foot will no longer detach and float up into the calf like it does with the base game IK.

W-what? I've had the game for a long time now and it's never had IK, if I stand sideways on a slope one foot clips into the ground, and one foot hovers in midair, level with each other.

That has never changed, I know YAML has it built in, but I don't use YAML.

There's no such option in the game's settings, do I need to edit a file or something? Sorry if all my posts are annoying, but I'm quite passionate about getting this to work.

The base game already has IK in it, but it only uses 2 bones per leg. The foot and the calf, so when you go over uneven terrain the base game IK stops articulating the leg at the knee. This mod articulates the entire leg.

I'm a bit confused, this mod doesn't enable IK? What IK system mod is this improving and where can I get it?
