Halo MCC Weekly Challenge Guide
由 theffapanda 制作
I maxed out XP a few years ago and constantly see people asking a quick way to get experience/level up.

The first step is to do your challenges every week.

Introduction
I have played a lot of Halo over the years and most people just call me Panda - currently at almost 13K hours in MCC, I have grinded since CE on Xbox/Gearbox on PC, H2 my brother had the Xbox (oof! and no XbL either!~) and then H3 was my first personally owned Console/Daily driver.

Constantly in the community I see people ask what is the most efficient way to get Experience in MCC - and the first answer is to do challenges.

However the second answer is to do what you enjoy. If you follow a challenge guide and hate it, you will burn out and give up and not keep playing.

That is the end experience for most who want to get to "Bird" (664M XP).

We can break that by being efficient and having fun. If you aren't having fun, take a break - games are meant to be enjoyed not suffered through.

I have recently slowed down on playing as much because life happens but I still hope people can get value as they continue playing/grinding in 2025 and beyond.

Spartan Points (Season Points/SP)
Spartan Points used to be called Season Points - when MCC on PC was getting regular updates called Seasons - but after the cessation of those updates they were renamed and everyone calls them SP aka Spartan Points, granted for completing challenges in the Challenge Hub section of MCCs Menu.

Not all challenges give SP - in the Challenges section of MCC there are Golden Borders/Backgrounds as well as a number indicator showing which challenges give Spartan Points.

Why do we care? MCC has a massive number of unlockable customization tied to these points.
Pictured is just one section.

You get 1 SP simply for leveling up, however there are only 330 levels that take YEARS to achieve - challenges remain the most efficient way.

However there are diminishing returns - I now have 2000+ SP with nothing to buy. So the system does in fact have a limit that if you stay consistent you will surpass.

PvP - Player vs Player Challenges
PvP Challenges
(Example as of 20NOV2025, will add more later):
1. Shared DNA - H4/H2A games
2. Sweat Equity - ranked games (pretty much nobody casual does this one, skip is np)
3. Pineapple Party - Grenade Kills
4. Okay Boomer - explosive kills
5. People vs Peoples - Complete 10 Weekly
6. Deadeye Dealin' - 25 precision weapon kills in CGB
7. Drop In, Help Out - Assists in CGB
8. The Wheel Deal - Wheelman Medals
9. Victory in Protection - Asset denial medals (Headhunter, oddball, etc)
10. Style Browser - Medals (killjoy, first strike, etc)
11. Friendly Fire - Win games
12. Objective Results - get objective medals
13. Stay Positive - get a k/d higher than 1.0

We have 13 total challenges, 1 is a weekly to complete 10, so 2 can be ignored (for most XP dont skip this).
Sweat Equity is probably 1 to be ignored for most.

Custom Game Browser - Usually look for a game of octagon (or FFA Snipes). In a few minutes you can complete:

Deadeye Dealin'
Drop In, Help Out (go for assists/body shots! takes longer)

In matchmaking:
Look at the "Victory In Protection" and Shared DNA and cross complete challenges.
Queue H2A/H4 Oddball. If you hate the games under the rotating games in that Shared DNA category, you can just play action sack.

If you did H2A/H4 Oddball within a few games you'll finish:

Shared DNA
Pineapple Party (throw nades?)
Victory in Protection
Style Browser (you get this naturally)
Friendly Fire (WIN!)
Objective Results (hold ball, kill ball, kill VIP)
Stay Positive (dont run forward)

This will give you 9 of 10 for the Weekly.

If you HATE PvP, queue action sack in H2A/H4. There are objective style gametypes in there, you'll be able to complete them.
PvE - Player vs Enemy Challenges
PvE Challenges:
1. Narrative Navigator - Complete Missions (Higher Difficulty Helps)
2. Heavy Mettle - Heavy Enemies
3. Battle-Hardened - Legendary
4. Cuddle Up - Close Range
5. Change of Scenery - H3/H4 Missions
6. VS CPU - Complete 10 Weekly
7. Playlist Progression - Complete playlist Mission
8. Co-Operation - Do Co-Op
9. Skullduggery - 1 mission w/ Skull
10. Pinpoint - Headshots
11. Promethean Proficiency - Forerunner Weapons
12. Firefighter - Full Set Games
13. Eye Spy - Moas

Guide for PvE:
So 13 total challenges - 12 count towards the weekly. So you can ignore 2.
Many can be done together.

All at once (with a friend) you can turn on a skull and complete:
Floodgate: Legendary w/ 1 Skull on in Co-Op to get:

Narrative Navigator (run the mission twice)
Battle-Hardened
Cuddle Up (Use the hammer as you go)
Change Of Scenery
Co-Operation (again, have to run twice)
Skullduggery
Pinpoint (Use BR when not using Hammer)

So thats 7 of 12 challenges done.

For the rest you can do some one off custom games of firefight to complete and skip FireFighter (due to time, faster to just play matchmaking for same XP, unless you like firefight).

For Eye Spy you can get the 3 birds in around 1 minute (I still make videos every week, they rotate the same pattern every other week now).

Example:
Monthly Challenges
I will edit this section later if there is interest, this came from a long post I made on Reddit and eventually I'll expand it to other challenges/concepts.

Pardon my dust.
