FAQ
Q: Is the S.A.F.S not supposed to take damage? I´ve had it for a very long time now and never have had it take damage.
SAFS is actually the first exosuit and wearable item in Barotrauma that takes damage. If you check the change notes and description, you'll find details about its development.
Q: How to repair the S.A.F.S?
The game has a mechanic called "Repair Threshold" Once the suit's condition falls below that threshold, using the wrench will successfully repair it.
Q: Where do I find the Manual?
Head to the Research Station to buy the manual.
Q: How do I craft things in SAFS mod?
Read the Manual thoroughly (100%) to get the extra talent!-> gather the required resources -> load your materials into the Fabricator-> you’re all set!
Q: The mod isn’t working.
I recommend resetting your mod list and reviewing your setup.
Q: I feel like the new arm attachments drain the fuel rod way too fast.
Trying different fuel types like Thorium Fuel Rods might help with fuel consumption.
Q: I can't figure out how the ExoJet works.
While in water, hold RMB, then press and hold LMB to activate ignition. Use the keys to navigate.
Q: How does the ExoShield work?
When running towards the enemy with your shield in hand, press LMB to knock them down.
Q: Why does the nanochips lose condition?
This is intentional. It is part of the overheating system.
Q: Is this mod compatible with other mods in the game?
A: Hard to say unfortunately, It's not part of my scope to know everything about the compatibility of other mods in the game...The main thing to note is that this mod is intentionally built without a Lua script. It's a key technical decision to ensure it works within the standard framework of the base game.
Q: Why are some comments being removed from the page?

So I tried out the suit and the exo drill for some cave mining and it burned through 80% of a masterwork fuel rod to swim 100m and mine 6 ores. The same amount of fuel can run an entire sub for close to an hour so it seems like pretty insane power draw.

If this is the intended balance, could you tell me what I can edit to change that fuel draw for my own use?

Hello! I'm using this mod right now and for some reason, despite me putting in a fuel rod, the suit refuses to move. Is it a mod load issue or something else?

why i cant use shoutgun ammo (chaingun ammo), or other "spicy" ammo while i using Vulcan ? This is made for balace or it's a glitch of other mods i using ?

Mod is cool, but to my taste have some issues.
First of all: Jetpack IS GODLIKE AWESOME! Thx a lot for it!
And there some cons:
-Speed penalty for cargo box is ridiculous. It's a POWER exosuit. Even player without suit can ran fast with box in his hand. Do you tell me that exosuit with box on his back must be much slower?
-To low blade damage. It's still fun but not much... Can be better.
-Ridiculously low powerfists damage. + VERY difficult aim to hit enemy under water. Don't worth it. Much better just take some gun.
-Vulcan is awesome, but ammo capacity make it not worth trouble with additional ammo boxes. Especialy with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ movement penalty. Much beter just take some MG and couple extra mags. Some good weapon mods make it even more useless. While i'm trying to get some spare ammo box, my mates simply and funny wipe out all enemies they could find.

I hope you can make some tweaks. This mod has great potential become much more joyfull!
