How to shoot a weapon out of a terrorists hand in CO-OP

A few days ago i've discovered that you can disarm a terrorist by shooting the weapon out of his hand. for some reason It kinda buggs me to see my teammates pop a terrorists head once they try to lower their weapon towards you so im creating this guide

1. Shout for compliance
Most of the time the terrorist will put his hands up.
If you are too far away the terrorist will ignore/not hear you, so make sure you are in proximity
2. Shoot his hand
Aim at the terrorists gun-hand and shoot one bullet, before he lowers his weapon towards you.
Make sure to do that in single fire. You dont want to accidentally kill him or break rules of engagement for putting too many bullets in his hands.
If everything goes right he should drop his weapon after a brief moment.
Congrats now you know how to disarm terrorists
Now you can go solo Paradise City and do a 100% arrest pacifist run.

could you also shoot them in the foot or something? for if you have a higher caliber weapon and you dont want to risk killing them.

There's actually a better method of doing this. I use a Shield and the Glock (because I'm a better shot with it).

You don't have to shoot his hand while he's surrendering. Shooting his hand while reloading is also a viable option. Let em waste rounds on you, wait til he reloads, and then cap his left hand.

I applaud your restraint and your skill after watching your video. But to me, if the suspect makes any aggressive move, he's made his choice and I will double tap him without feeling regret!

It should work with any weapon in one hit but it dosnt work if you hit the arm it has to be the hand. Low damage weapons can help you give 1-2 more shots off. For instance: You failed to hit the dudes hand and you instead hit his arm, you can disengage (break line of sight) for a few seconds, shout for compliance again and shoot his hand again without killing him. Also i've noticed Sometimes the ai decides to point the weapon directly at you but dosnt shoot, dropping the gun after a few seconds of staring. that could be whats happening to you

Do you have to use a lesser damage weapon? Tried this with the m4 or the scar I think and it would just kill them after I shot just the hand 2-3 times because they wouldn't drop it.

shoot the trigger hand. Also i've noticed this method dosnt always work on hardcore
