Getting colours and shades correct is definitely a challenge, and the lighting of the environment makes a big impact on how materials appear. I definitely agree that the grey suit needs work, but the helmet is actually based on an older version of the Grunt's helmet that still exists in the files, meaning that part of the Grunt is the most accurate.
The "trailer shot" seen in the gallery on this Workshop page is actually an SFM render created by me, using my materials; so feel free to use that as a direct comparison.
I've gotta ask though, how hard would it be to re-skin the eye lighting and lenses for the Captain, Charger and Suppressor to the same as the Beta Grunts?
