Okay, Nick, I'll take your word on it.

So that's why footsteps alert nearby common!

It should be replaced with a different one now. I haven't updated the video yet, but the rest of them are still the same.

Ok, so we definitely mean the same thing, that's good to know. Well, it'd be cool if you changed the wood steps because right now they are the only thing really keeping me from using this mod as a permanent part of my collection. Of course only if it doesn't cost you too much time or trouble. Thanks for responding.

I checked the sounds and they're the same length and sample rate as those they replace, so there should be no screeching or buzzing.

The squeak I'm talking about happens at the end of the 3rd, 5th, and 7th step on the wood in the video. That's the only thing I can hear that sounds like it could be wrong, but it's like that in HLA as well.

The walking sounds are different from running, so they should be fine.

Also I just noticed that the scratching noise is not audible when sneaking with SHIFT.

I dunno, it doesn't sound like squeaking to me, but rather like a weird, cut-off scratching noise. I'm not sure if we are talking about the same sound here.

Oh, that's actually part of the sound. It's the wood squeaking.

If it's too annoying I guess I could replace it with a different one, since HLA has way more footstep sounds than L4D2.
