Jan 17th - At the #GoldenV awards, Alvin Wang Graylin (China President #HTC #Vive) gives a presentation.
Shows a slide labeled “2020 VR Trends” contained the phrase “Valve HL Alyx/LFD3 will drive consumer and AAA studio interest,” implying @AGraylin knows Left 4 Dead 3 is on the way.

Jan 17th - A short time later ... from Valve
“We’ve seen rumors to this effect for the last couple of months,” Valve said in a statement. “We did briefly explore some Left 4 Dead next gen opportunities a few years ago. But we are absolutely not working on anything L4D related now, and haven’t for years." - “It’s clear some people are having fun creating misinformation to spin up the community and other outlets. Unfortunately, for now a new L4D game is not something we’re working on.” - Valve

Back For Blood maybe, Left 4 Dead 3- dream on people! But I'm not saying the mod is bad or anything like that, it is probably fine work as Tricky is one of the best.
