I've been having a weird issue where Steam Game recording will just not record any audio but only for certain games. The 2 I can think of off memory are Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 6 but i've seen others have this issue on other games.

An easy solution is just changing the audio recording settings from "game audio only" to "All System Sounds" but this has the downside of also recording discord or anything else you might listening to


however it seems as though you can toggle All system sounds for just a moment, then toggle back to game audio only and it will continue to record game audio properly.

I haven't tested this extensively yet but the couple times Ive had no sound ive done this and its fixed the problem without also recording everything else

I'm unsure if it will just randomly stop working again but I restated steam and it still worked after so you might only have to do this once whenever you first boot up your pc
