The Steam Frame concerns

My biggest concern for Steam Frame is the pricing. Now that there is no need for base stations I hope the pricing is at least around $400-$600.

Probably not close to possible at that price. More in line with the Index, give or take a couple hundred.

Lenses can cost about the lower amount you suggested alone.

At least Valve will do what is possible to keep it as low as they can AND also do free shipping.

I am not lowballing. The main headset alone for most brands in the same catagory are all around $300-$500. All I mentioned was the price for the headset. As for the controllers and other things needed those will also cost extra.

If we are lucky the total cost for the bundled system will cost no more than $800. Unlucky will be around $1200.

i'd bet the Steam Machine would be about $550-$700, probably even Steam Deck prices if all goes well, else, $670-$900 will likely be the price if it all goes to hell

It looks like competitor to meta quest 3, so it can't be priced much above that

I wouldn't mind getting vr but it still weighs 1lb which seems heavy still. The strap weighs more than the unit, I guess for better balance.

No, but this one at least seems to respect us more than the rest.

The Index was actually extremely affordable for what it was back then, that is a VR headset you'd actually wanna use for prolonged periods of time. They did the same with the Deck, making it as affordable as possible while delivering a product that doesn't cut (unnecessary) corners. Chances are, the Frame will follow the same path.
