do card games bad?
Card games are bad or are they not bad? I got into magic the gathering because I wanted to gamble on a pack and got cards worth under a quarter each, like 3 times, so anyway i also gotr scammed and bought 1000 cards worth a dime or less then went out and played against some people, got my deck wiped by players who actively spend over 1k dollars a year on cards for their decks, like 30-60->100 dollar cards.

So as a last effort before completely abandoning card games, are card games suck or is there not bad card games?

I mean I do have Chatterstorm, I honestly thought I heard people said that card was banned so i didnt use it but then I got killed by Chatterstorm in a card shop.

If you are only getting TCG cards to resell, then you need to find a new hobby.

If you plan on playing the TCG, then play, but do not expect to make a living on doing nothing but buying packs to resell the cards.
That's called scalping and it is HEAVILY frowned on by fans of the TCG.

No never said that I am in the game for the money,
in trading card games Money determines the strength of a card, good Common cards like hexproof boots or grieves, sell for 3 dollars (as a common card), meaning that the game is unnaffordable to people who dont have alot of money, there are mythic cards as well that are worth less than a dime, This all goes to show that the game is completely pay to win

My question was are there any good card games, not for you to be an ass about it

Reading this feels like you might be approaching this in the entirely wrong way.

I have no experience with MTG "in the real world", but first of all, their business is to sell card-packs that work like lootboxes -- you don't know what you'll get. I don't know how you found the players you're playing with, but if you want to avoid the lootbox-spenders, you might have to look for a more casual group to play with...

In an ideal case, such a group would agree on what cards can be used, to ensure a balanced experience.

As such, I don't think that "card games are bad"; like other real-world games, it's just a bit more difficult to find the right people to play with. Ok, after entering "magic the gathering <my town name>" into Google, I get the impression that "a bit more difficult" might be understating it.

In contrast, a few years ago, I bought an MTG game on Steam. I don't even know whether it had multiplayer at all; I just played vs. the computer which was balanced enough.

They aren’t awful but it’s a child’s hobby and something you should have well and truly grown out of by an adult. Just look at the type of adults who play MTG and you can clearly see that it doesn’t attract the most sound minded individuals.

MTG Arena is the name of the game.
All the cards on it are also available IRL.

Play the TCG if you enjoy it, I play yugioh and MTG IRL and I enjoy them and think they are fun.

And yes, buying a pack is like a loot box, you have no idea what you are going to get.
And while card sale sites do exist, they are for getting those rare cards that you might end up spending $100s to get his packs but only spend maybe $20 to get it from someone else.
But many seek to only buy up packs to resell the cards with no regard for the fans of the game, don't be one of those people.

If you haven't played MTG then you clearly have not seen that it was NEVER designed for children.
MTG was always designed for teens and adults.
Yugioh, Pokemon TCG, and Digimon TCG those are designed for children.

I don't know. I got into the Pokemon card game for a while. I had a good time.

Bought a physical starter deck that came with a code to get the cards ingame. Then I built from there until I had a reasonable deck to play with. Worked fine and I had quite a lot of fun with it.

The thing with magic. Is not only you want a decent deck, but you need a plan. There is so many effects and variations in magic its easy to get "lost" and end up with a deck that is not focused enough only to get spanked.
are there any not bad card games? any fun card games anyone would reccomend? including digital/video games?

They are all fun to some degree. Otherwise their online version would have popped out of existence a long time a ago. It's just TCGs, by design, cost time and money to be properly enjoy. The amount of which varies between games.

If you want to avoid dealing with random packs opening draining your wallet. You need to look at those game that don't do that.

I don't know if things have changed. Last time I played it was a couple years ago. But, the Gwent game was pretty good. Hell, some people joke about The Witcher 3 because the card game is good. Mostly saying that the campaign is the DLC, the card game is the actual main game. :P

Most of the world knows it as a non-child game.

Poker is high stake, yes. But, it's child-play compared to playing Magic at a high level. So, I guess Poker is a toddlers game.

It seems Shreedy is not one of those in the know.
