on reddit there is a community r/macgaming if u want to checkout
there are several emulators including
- whiskey
- utm
which runs on wine and u might be able to tweak some games but not all as there configurations are quite tough to do
though on native steam the few mainstream games i found were
dying light and tomb raider which were in my purchase capacity cyberpunk is also available i think but using win emulators / runners such as crossover u can play some more mainstream game
No it will not change any time soon if ever.
Between apple charging to even export to Xcode, refusing to support open standards like vulkan, and making it harder to run anything but native ARM programs.
Than you have one of the biggest reason.... the lack of demand. With only 2% of users on Steam using Mac OS. It's not really worth the money to invest into supporting mac.
More and more devs are dropping support due to lack of sales on mac.
Pretty much on point. Apple has made it harder and more expensive to support their platform while dropping support for games that already exist. Soon when Apple drops x86 altogether it'll just be iOS games and the few that have native M* support.
