Not that I’m one to talk because I like anime. I’m not bashing on sports fans. I’m just saying it as it is.
Yeah, I get what you mean. I think it’s really all about group identity the feeling of belonging to something bigger. And in all these snack breaks, like timeouts, halftime, and the thousands of commercial breaks, people can mingle, gossip and talk about all sorts of stuff.
Honestly, at this point I’m not even sure it counts as a sport anymore. If you spend 3 hours siting down, pausing every few seconds, and mostly watching ads while occasionally someone runs 10 yards… is it really about the game, or just a socially acceptable way to eat mountains of food with friends? xD
It’s like the real game is who can survive the snack buffet and still remember what the scoreboard says.
Yeah, right, variety… you know, the real choice is between shoving wings, hot dogs, pizza, or other junk food down your gullet during all those breaks.
At this point I’m pretty sure the “sport” is just surviving the snack buffet.
At least we can afford food. We don't have to choose between eating and owning a car, or having air conditioning.
its kind of boring how often they score, but thats also kind of exciting i guess because its like a constantly tug of war.
Well, I wouldn’t exactly call those genetically modified, fat-filled, sugar-infested “edibles” real food, not to mention the factory farming and processed meats that are causing all kinds of ulcers, tumors and whatnot otherwise you wouldn’t be one of the most obese countries on the planet, woudln't you agree?
I've seen so many Americans visit Europe and be completely baffled at how the food quality, especially in Western Europe, surpasses US food quality by far. It's a day and night difference, ask anybody.
I know this must sound crazy to some of you guys over the pond, but you can actually say no to food. If someone puts a plate of deep fried chicken in front of you, just say :
“No thanks, I’d like to make it to 30.” But hey, that’s just me. xDD
We're not one of the most obese countries on the planet. And unlike your country, the rate here is actually going down. So good luck with that narrative.
however, if others like them then im glad they do.
