Game awards are always kind of a joke a card game won last year didn't it? I'm salty about the fact Hogwarts legacy wasn't nominated for anything the year it came out because of the trans communitys uproar when it was by far the best game that year.

I didn't know that. I loved the game too

It never was intended to be a true competition just a new medium to hype the masses to buy the advertised titles. So they mimic the golden globes do a bit of the performance and voilá we have "a competition".

Kind of like Death Stranding being a new kind of genre, i still laugh at that statement lol.

The game awards are pretty much irrelevent. Every now and then they might help an obscure game or two gain the recognition they deserve, but other than that, it's just shilling to stuff that everyone already knows about and trash that nobody cares about whose devs and publishers paid top $$ to be shilled for.

I'm just tired of such a policy

It's one thing if they were tackling really deep, socially relevant topics, but it's a completely different story when all the games on the list are promoting the nonsense of insecure people. I'm not a racist or a bad person. I'm just tired of seeing my favorite games being taken over by completely different people who are only interested in promoting unconventional values.

Otherwise, why create a separate category for it?
