I personally sleep on my left side but that's because I can get heartburn in the evenings and sleeping on my right side apparently amplifies it. Lol

I like both sides , on the right though u can get acid in ur mouth due to anatomy.(So its less healthy)

No it`s simply blood pooling to the part of your body making you uncomfortable and thus turn in your sleep reacting to this. No need to attach any metaphysics or religions into it.

I used to sleep on my back in my young days, now I tend to sleep on my side. Comfort is the name of the game I guess.
