IMPOSSIBLE!
(or not)
Honestly 99% of people is a massive and pointless waste of time.
However, being open and honest is challenging with antisocial, narcissistic, or psychopathic individuals, it's even more difficult with the willfully ignorant and cruel. Imagine responding with empathy and politeness, saying, "I understand how you feel," or "This seems important to you," only to be met with a hostile "Get lost." It's like they're intentionally pouring complete nonsense into your ears that just makes you feel pathetic and bad about yourself. This person you're so desperately trying to understand might simply be a drug addict. While you're left feeling helpless and confused, you're only spiraling into a deep depression. This can get so severe that it starts affecting your health, even to the point of developing a tumor the size of an apple in your chest.
Listen, and learn that you aren't losing much.
