Steam, why don’t you just have nice emotes( for steampoints)?
If I say now that I don’t like them, I’m already preparing myself for a flood of clown emotes. XD
I don’t like them. Honestly.

Do you find the clown emotes annoying, or do you think they just fuel anger and encourage toxic behavior?

but they do have a wide selection of various stickers of all shapes and sizes. there's that shiny heart - my personal favourite - but there's also a sun, a jar of ketchup, a parchment and quill, some cubist art - allsorts of bumper stickers.

I have nothing against the good emotes. ^^ :Heart_m:
Clowns, jesters, smile faces, meh, they are all just images at the end of the day.

Okay :nkPaw:
I just think it’s a shame when opinions get devalued like that. You do get the Steam points as compensation, but if it happens constantly, it’s really not nice. I’m currently seeing this in another forum where a moderator is really nice, and they’re practically being devalued because of it. :OveliaSweat:
That’s why I’m very interested in opinions on this topic. :LoveChoiceSweat:

I get devalued all the time but I know what I bring to the table so it never phases me.

They should expand the range of positive and negative awards and emotes, the current selection is pretty weird with how the only "bad" one is the jester, sometimes you want to express something else.

That’s true, you could see it that way. Maybe just a smile or something?
It's annoying as hell going to game hubs or game news sections and seeing free accounts constantly spamming garbage in order to farm thousands of awards. I wish Steam had just never made them a thing.

Or a frown. For something that made you angry.

truuueeee! That’s also a point I see often. Absolutely!

I think awards in general are a terrible idea that incentivates echo chambers.
