funny how things work huh
Counter Strike used to be the gold standard for serious competitive shooters, but it's been ruined by the loot crate shenanigans.
Who could have guessed that requiring people to go in and start messing with the BiOS on their MOBO would be more of a roadblock to honest players that don't cheat than it is to the people using hacking software?
Who could have known... indeed.
COD is dead for the most part and their player base is going to kill battlefield.....6 is the worst game in the series.....it will take at least 2 years of rework like 2042 got to make the game worth the price
was never the gold standard....that was UNREAL

5v5 competitive bomb defusal shooters still exist, its just that the devs of them usually just sell one game with microtransactions to keep revenue
Valorant, Counter-Strike, and Rainbow Six Siege all do that
sometimes they do big updates like CS2 or Siege X but thats the biggest extent
while arena shooters arent common anymore, boomer shooters are making a come back, although the only big AAA one nowadays is Doom, the rest are indies
