Steam machine Multiplayer questions
Will the steam machine allow for more than 1 account so as to swap through for say a family with 1 of it?

Since it has 2 usb ports will it allow for local coop only games to be allowed to do so with 1 steam machine with 2 controllers since steam remote play doesn't work that way?

Yes, you can have multiple accounts logged in to the machine, just like with the normal Steam client and Steam Deck gamepadui.

Games which support local co-op should work with two controllers.

The Steam Machine is just a PC, its capabilities likely match what you can do on any normal Linux PC.

you can always get usb a hub, i think its 127 usb 2.0 or 254 usb 3.x devices max per controller

*depending on what hub types, some may limit how many sub devices can be plugged into them and recognized

and it most likely has built in bt, so you can use bt controllers
or a bt usb dongle too, as long as it supports linux

or ms xbox dongle, x1 for x1 and series x/s or x360 for 360 wireless controllers
