Issues with admin password
I’m trying to format a microsd to work with a 3DS with my steam deck because I don’t have any of the chargers to my laptops, it is asking me for an admin password I set like 4 WHOLE resets ago and have no way of knowing. how do I reset this without a usb flash drive or bumping my resets up to 5?

I did use a tool that needed a password but I don’t even have that tool, it went down with a reset.

Please help this password is about to make me tweak tf out.

Are you sure you have a password set? If the Deck was reinstalled it is currently running with a blank password. It will ask for a password even if you do not have one configured.

Try setting a password with the passwd command.

the fastest workaround is to format the microSD using another device

Laptops? Just stick it into a phone or tablet and wipe it, done

it asks me for a password I don’t have, I’ve already tried changing using settings and passwd

You can go to a Library and use their PC and format it.
