That said it hardly matters as this entire contest is just to determine what our good friends the Chinese prefer this year. I am out of the loop so I cannot wait to see what they consider the Wukong of this year.
I found that only counts as console games. They tend to release their "best" games during the december season so they can make the most money on them. That way, there is not enough time for them to go on sale. Think about it.
Anything released after the awards, or otherwise too late to participate could naturally be included in the next year's awards.
Nomination participation for The Steam Awards 2026 are games released November 24, 2025 to the day before the next nomination event begins in November 2026.
