Permanently hiding certain types of games without individually ignoring/hiding them
Like a filter, that's permanently applied not just to individual searches, but always, so we don't have to skip over all the games we truly hate seeing.

I'm so tired of seeing actual trash "male gaze", seemingly almost all now AI generated, toxic, objectifying sexist slop in indie game searches. I love indie games. Even the janky, "first time I'm doing this" RPG maker ones. I do not love "pay for sexualised and objectifying illustrations of women because you want your hentai to be interactive".
FFS. Itch has better quality than this, which is saying something, because Itch's guidelines for allowed games are supposedly much more lenient.
The "hide tags" system doesn't work when A: it only works for "majority tags" and B: people don't even tag "Hentai title game 76" with "hentai". Come on.

Sexual content is disabled by default. Re-enable it.
You can already filter by tags. Use it properly.
How is it supposed to work if people aren't adding the tags anyway?

Either you didn't read properly, or, you simply don't understand what I'm suggesting. No. Straight up, just no. Your comment is neither helpful, nor it seems intending to be.

That is the real question, honestly. My point is that the "filter by tags" system is barely working for smaller identifiers, which I have observed are actually the ones that matter most; everything else is really marked already by other filters. If the blacklisting worked for all tags, then it would be possible to create smaller tags that identify say, problematic or trigger warning requiring content, and let people filter those out. In lieu of Steam having actual trigger/content warnings, it might be something.
To be real I don't super care what they do about it; just, the filtering system in place on Steam kinda sucks, and it needs an overhaul, because it can't only be crowd-created, majority opinions that decide the filters; that makes Steam as a platform minority excluding.

This.

Uncheck "Frequent Nudity or Sexual Content" and "Adult Only Sexual Content."

These are off by default. They don't rely on the tag system and will not remove games like Mass Effect and The Witcher. You can click on the "Examples" to see what types of games they effect.

If the game states "Adult Only" on the store page, then it will no longer show when these filters are unchecked. These are set by the developers and do not require user created tags.

Youre dismissed and your bs ideology is fading fast. Suck it up.

I can read fine. You're just plainly not using Steam's powerful filtering tools adequately.
